Boo:

Glad you're in and settled.  That's a good feeling.  How do you like down-sizing?  I have a problem with less space.  I suppose it is from growing up in a large family.

When the kids come home I love for them to all have their own bedrooms.  I especially like fixing a big breakfast for all of them.  I love having the smell of coffee with all of the foods for them!

Is your email the same?

Talk to you soon.

Love ya, Linda

Julie...

I think it would be right up Milan's alley.  He is really into Bloomington history.

Julie,  I wold be interested in the the book.  Our family is very much into history and our daughter researches for the McLean County History Museum and is a tour guide for the cemetery walk every year.  It is very generous of you to offer this book.

"Picturesque Bloomington,1907". Can I get the Kindle edition?

I'm sure someone needs a good door-stop or maybe a boat anchor? I mean, really! We are talking pre-historic Don Munson, drivel.

Marvin, I'm so sorry that you aren't here in B/N to enjoy our latest winter blast. Snow, ice, cold, and everything in-between. I suppose that you will just have to struggle on the beach, with beautiful women, while we live it up here in "corn country"! I'm sure glad I'm not there in all of that sunshine. I'm know that you will find a way to endure.

Linda, that reference to coffee sounds inviting. As an addict, I'm partial to Highlander Grogg.

(My transportation to the coffee shop, at 5:00am every morning.)

Mike:

Hmmm.  Are you the only customer for that coffee?   Or....now that we're 70 ish,  can you no longer see the lines of the parking spot?

Maybe you were just needing a caffeine boost...........for your ON switch!  That truck could haul a lot of coffee!

Here's to you hauling your caffeine!   Enjoy!

Linda

Michael (Mike) Franks

Linda, thanks for asking. That picture was taken a few weeks ago in State Farm's parking lot. We had a rare sunny day, so I cleaned the truck up. I do have trouble staying in the lines while parking, but not quite that bad.

I'm a coffee lover. After years of drinking nothing but strong and black, I decided to let it all hang out and do some experimenting. I found the Highlander Grogg and really liked it. Not into Starbucks, just like to hang out with old pals, over a cup or two.

I hope that the knee is healing and that you are able to do the things that you enjoy, with out any pain. I always look forward to reading your comments!

Have great St.Valentine's Day.

Linda Bristow (Elias)

Hey Mike:

Thank you and Happy Valentine's Day in return!   Watch out for Eros on Tuesday.

I am having a meeting at my house tomorrow morning and just made 3 kinds of goodies to go with coffee: Banana Nut Bread,  Date Nut Cake, and an Apple Crisp that I just have to pop into the oven.  Sorry I can't send some to go with your coffee.

Thank you for asking.  My knee is doing fairly well.   I exercise every day at least twice, and weekends, 3 times a day.   It is still swelling a lot but Dr. said up to a year for that.  I had to wear heels one day last week and it worked out for 5 hours.  Guess I'm doing ok.  BUT, no way in hell or Heaven would I ever do that again!

Blessings to you!

Linda

Melvin (Mel) Theobald

Hey Dave, according to my clock, it has been 3 weeks since your surgery. Every day brings hope that we will hear that you, being the valiant warrior we know you to be, have been steadily achieving victory. No rush, but when you are ready, we'd love to hear from you. With patience and best wishes, you are in our thoughts.

02/11/17 08:44 AM #5834

Michael (Mike) Franks

Mel, that is a wonderful post, not only for our friend and classmate David, but it reminded me to keep David in my thoughts.

David, I too look forward to hearing from you. I hope that you are recovering and that you will soon be able to resume your activities. I know that your bride and your children are pouring out their love for you. I'm sure that I speak for all of your friends and classmates, in wishing you the best!
