Comments:

I was married in 1966, I have worked for physicians for 35+ years, just celebrating my 25th anniversary at my current position. We have 2 children, our daughter lives next door to us and has 3 girls. Our son is deceased.
We have lived in the same home for 37 years and truly love the neighborhood. Dennis and I are very involved in several service projects, Relay for Life and Tootsie Roll (Knights of Columbus) being a couple of them. We love to travel and do so with friends on a regular basis.

"Wisdom" 22x30 watercolor on watercolor paper. This oak tree is over 300 years old. We pass by it on the way to visit our son and family. It was on display at the Toledo Museum of Art in 2012 during the Findlay Area Artists Exhibit at the museum. Never thought my art would make it into a museum!

Hi David, I am so sorry you are facing back surgery. It is a big deal when it is the back. I am concerned that you are talking out patient surgery. My husband has had 7 back surgeries and I had a major back surgery last June, None of these were out patient, nor would they let them be. It sounds like you are having quite a bit done. I have a little knowledge as I worked for an Orthopaedic surgeon for 20 years. Please take care. Best wishes on your upcoming procedure.

In response to Mel and Suzi's inquiries as to what others are doing in support of Cancer research or other such organizations here is what Denny and I do: Cancer: American Cancer Society, we support Relay for Life we have been active in that for about 19 years as captains of a team. We do this because of so much cancer among family and friends (Denny is a 19 year survivor of Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma and has had a stem cell transplant) We are also on the survivors committee, which is starting to gear up for the coming year. We both serve on various other groups as officers, one of which is The Children's Foundation (formerly Lucy-Morgan Home) Den is a past president. We both run a blood drive for the Red Cross of The Heartland, 6 times a year at the Bloomington Knights of Columbus. We also support various other organizations in our community. Thanks to everyone for all the great work you do.

I moved here from Chicago in grade school and skipped half of second grade. I think from what I was told I was the youngest in our class.
