Came back from a funeral today, and it looks like there may be another one unless Ed gets the right equipment.

I once myself succumbed  to a free breakfast from Cheryl, but years later, after a vigorous struggle, I prevailed and paid.

Yesterday, at Steve Wilson's funeral services in the church, they played a video tribute to Steve prepared by his former business partner in their ad firm.  As one would expect, she was able to catch your interest in her presentation.  Though over the last couple of years I recognized Steve did good work, I didn't know how good, and it occured to me that few of us really know each other or our capabilities beyond school images of 40-50 years ago.  Some of us stay frozen in that time frame.

As art director, Steve zoned into his projects and never missed a deadline, creating packaging, print ads etc. on a national and international basis, and of the highest order.  All those cartoon drawings he did in HS really worked out for him, and as his son Mike said "he knew his craft".

I am to get a copy of his tribute CD, and maybe somehow I can post it on here.

Jack, that would be great if you could post the CD.  You were so right when you said basically we all know very little about each other except for 40-50 years ago.  Maybe this website can help to change all of that?  I think it's better than FB except there is no Bejeweled Blitz on here!

We change when we get older. Most of us anyway. I was quiet and shy when I was young. I got over that. :)

Yes we do change as we get older, Milan.  I've gotten bolder and more outspoken than ever!  ha ha ha

Cheryl, I have known you since age 14 and I don't think you have changed much.  Had a good time back then and still having a good time!  But did'nt we lose about 40 years?  My how time flies and we should just be very grateful for our long time friends even if we don't see or hear from them for awhile

I think this website is very good for reconnecting, there are people I don't even remember, maybe my age?

Thanks Jack for the insight on Steve Wilson, never really knew what happened to him or what he was doing.  Sure was cute in the 8th grade tho but weren't we all

So looking forward to breakfast at Shannons when I get home in april.

Cheryl,

I don't think you've changed much...I've known you since kindergarten.  God does that seem like a long time ago.  Sixty years does that seem possible?

Want to update you all...we went to see Sue Ehrmantraut last night and she is really coming along.  Her trip to the hospital set her back about a month but she's feeling much better now. She's working hard in rehab and starting to eat more to help herself get stronger.  If she keeps up the way she's going now she may get home sometime in April.  She's really looking forward to getting home so she can go out to eat (we promised to take her out for smelt).  Keep the prayers and good thoughts coming.  If anyone what me to give her a message let me know as we get down to see her at least once a week.  She does enjoy hearing about what going on with everyone.

Hope everyone here in central Illinois recognizes that big yellow ball in the sky today.  I wasn't sure what it was but my husband told me it was the SUN.  I guess he was right I just forgot what it looked like!!!!!!  Hope you all have a good day.

Judy

Thanks Judy, please tell Sue that Suzi says "HI"  and I hope the rode to recovery is getting faster.  I will keep her in my prayers.

Yes, Judy, we have known each other for eons.  I think we figured out you are married to a distant relative of mine?  Please tell Sue that I think about her every day and I hope she can come home soon.  I think sometimes if a person is able to get back in their own surroundings, recovery is much quicker.

My son and his family live by St. Louis and his wife hung laundry out today!  So it's warm somewhere?  Like Judy said, the sun is a welcome visitor today.

That would explain those shades, Cheryl. :)

Judy... thanks a bunch for the update on Sue.  Tell her I said 'hi' and hope that she gets to come home soon.  I'd pass on the smelt, but that's just me.
