Ed, I agree with what you said about getting to know people better.  There were a lot of people I went to school with that I really didn't know.  I'm hoping to change that with the help of this website.  You, for instance, are one of the people I really didn't know but am hopeful that we can become friends.

Milan, for some reason your statement  "We've had 92 messages in one week" reminds me of a scene in the old John Wayne movie "The Searchers" (a western) where the enthusiastic grandpa said,  "three letters in a year, by golly"........

Cheryl on the guestbook, I guess there was quite a delayed reaction from the input to the output  Nice touch with your candle.

I, like Holly, feel bad that I haven't made it to any of the reunions. I really appreciate all of the work and time that people have put into this website. It is such fun going back and looking at all the pictures and hearing how different classmates are doing. My Mom is still alive and living in Normal so hopefully I can make it to one of the next get togethers. Jack, thanks for keeping us informed and again I was saddened to hear about Steve.

Just got back from breakfast at Shannon's with the class of 63 and 74.  Saw a few faces I hadn't seen in a while.  It was fun.

Cheryl... are you trying to knock 10 years off of you age?  Shouldn't that be 64?! LOL

Jack Habich

Terry, as my friend Rocco says "everybody wants to be 21".  And, at age 74, he's the worst offender.  Cheryl's just going for 10 years off, which isn't bad.

I don't want to be 21 again unless I get to know what I know today. Ok, what I knew yesterday. I forget a lot. (laugh)

Breakfast was fantastic. I want to thank Cheryl for my meal. :)

There's one thing in the Steve Wilson story that kind of got lost. When he called me in January to tell me about his condition, and to let a few people know, he emphasized one thing; he said his obit would appear in the Pantagraph, and he would like people to consider giving to the cause that he lists. That cause is as follows:

Ed Posh Scholarship Fund
c/o Village Links Golf Club
220 S. Park Blvd.
Glen Ellyn, IL 60137

I know it looks like I’m passing the hat around, and I know times are tough for many people, but it is just something some of you might want to consider if you can spare a few bucks.

Evidently Terry you have never made a typo?  I did mean 64 not 74.  Thanks for calling that to my attention.  And Jack, thanks for sticking up for me!  LOL  My husband was in the class of 74 - I got confused!  Milan, you are very welcome for breakfast.  Can't believe "others" haven't even offered to do that since you have been doing all the work on our website.  (I'm sure I'll be chastised for that remark!!!)  ha ha ha

Jack, I plan on sending a donation in Steve's name.  Thanks for the reminder.

I don't want free things. I do this because I got so much from our site and I saw this site was stagnant. I wanted to help. Everyone should have a chance to become a part of this fantastic venue. Whether or not you want to, is a personal choice. Have fun with this. It sure can be. This sure has been a pleasure for me. I thank all of you for the opportunity. Seeing numbers in here is all I need. :)

Terry, I know you were giving me crap.  I was just messing with you.  Fun isn't it?

Cheryl Turner (Hitzner)

Milan, you are making me feel bad.  I know you enjoy what you have done to help us and don't want "anything" for it.  It was just a gesture on my part to let you know your work is appreciated.  I don't want to adopt you!  LOL  I did what I did because I can.  Accept it.

Thanks again, Cheryl. I don't want you to feel bad. :-)

Milan, now that you are adopted, are ya gonna change your name...

If I get adopted, can I get free breakfasts too?

03/09/11 10:34 PM #630

Terry (Max) Maxwell

Cheryl... since I can't make it down there for breakfast, would it be possible for you to send me the money, so I can get free breakfast up here?!

03/10/11 08:04 AM #631

Judy Tynan (Danielson)

Milan, don't feel bad about the free breakfast from Chery, She has bought me a few over the years and I really didn't do anything to deserve it.  That's just the way she is.  By the way, Cheryl when I get home are you gonna buy me one??  Love ya

Milan Jackson

Cheryl, now see what you have gotten yourself into???? (laugh)

03/10/11 08:34 AM #633

Cheryl Turner (Hitzner)

You people crack me up!  Can't believe what a $4 breakfast has started?  I'll adopt and feed all of you. You have to keep all your own names though.  LOL

Terry, "the check is in the mail"!  Ever heard that before?

Can't wait until next Wednesday to see what I can stir up.

Of course, Judy, I will buy you breakfast if that's what I have to do to keep you in Illinois!

THE FOLLOWING IS A TRUE STORY

Once upon a time, long long ago,

There was a woman who did not whine, argue, or complain (even about free breakfasts)

But it was only once, and it was a long time ago.  :)
