I was wondering the same thing, Linda.  She was on my mind yesterday and one of the first things I thought of this morning.  Sit tight and we'll all hope for a great report today.

Suzi's husband sent me a text after her surgery yesterday & said she was doing good. But they won't know much til they get the pathology report next week. I'm sure she will post something as soon as she's feeling up to it. Happy new year everyone! Keep praying for her. Thanks so much!

Subject: I'm a "Seenager"

From my friend Carol............

I am a Seenager. (Senior teenager)

I have everything that I wanted as a teenager, only 65 years later. I don't have to go to school or work.

I get an allowance every month. I have my own pad.

I don't have a curfew. I have a driver's license and my own car.

I have an ID that gets me into bars and the wine store. I like the wine store best.

The people I hang around with are not scared of getting pregnant; in fact, they aren't scared of anything, they have lived this long already, so why be scared?

And I don't have acne.

Life is Good! You also, will feel much more intelligent after reading this, if you are a Seenager.

Brains of older people are slower because they know so much.

People do not decline mentally with age, it just takes them longer to recall facts because they have more information in their brains; scientists believe this also makes you hard of hearing as it puts pressure on your inner ear.

Much like a computer struggles as the hard drive gets full, so too, do humans take longer to access information when their brains are full.

Researchers say this slowing down process is not the same as cognitive decline. The human brain works slower in old age, said Dr. Michael Ramscar, but only because we have stored more information over time. The brains of older people do not get weak. On the contrary, they simply know more, have more information stored in the brain.

Also, older people often go to another room to get something and when they get there, they stand there wondering what they came for. It is NOT a memory problem; it is nature's way of making older people do more exercise.

SO THERE!!

I have more friends I should send this to, but right now I can't remember their names.

Thanks Vic

I feel much better. All this time I thought that I was losing it and now I realize it's just brain overload. Maybe If I live a little longer I can be like Stephen Hawking. I think I'll take a break and solve a few quadradic equations.

I just checked the IN MEMORY section of the website to look up Carol Stripling as I did not remember her..

When you open that page, in memory, you are invited to GET YOURS!

Well, If i'm still here, I hope there is no entry for me, If I'm no longer here, I think it would be pretty hard to open the site.....

For a while, Carol lived across the street from me. We got to be friendly on Facebook. Then she was gone. I didn't know why until her brother died this week and saw her name in his obituary. Carol was good people.

Milan:

I used to ride to school with Carol Carter in Jr. High.   She was always a sweet girl.  I'm so sorry that I haven't kept up with her after school.

Our best intentions don't manifest by themselves!

Heavenly Blessings to Carol!

Love, Linda

Max, is it possible that we are soon to be 70 years old? Some have already reached that landmark, like Umbright. I wish him well.

Linda Bristow (Elias)

Hmmmm.  The number of my age doesn't bother me at all!   At this time of my life.....I just don't want the number of my age to match the number of inches around my hips!

I am amazed at what a creature of habit I have become.  I like my morning newspaper........and not online.  I want to glance over it with coffee and then work the puzzles.  I even enjoy being able to fold it to just right for working the puzzles.  Perhaps the 'spoiled American' is coming out of me!  This morning the paper was late and I went to work without it.  Now, I'm having 'newspaper withdrawal'!

Is it our age, boredom, or creature of habit?  My preference is not to just exist until I die, but to live until I die.   If I can make a difference for those around me........I'm happy.

70....That's just a low speed here in Texas where we have one highway that allows 85 mph!!!!!!!

I'm ready for 70!

Happy day to y'all!

Linda
