So sorry about the loss of your husband. At least he is not suffering any more although it is still hard. Prayers and thoughts are with your family.

Thanks, Max.  Always figured I'd make it to this age, but never thought this day would come....if that makes any sense.

Habic:  Happy Birthday!

I have been notified that my sister, Nancy Bentley from LeRoy, has taken a turn for the worse.  Perhaps I will be visiting in Bloomington quite soon.  We have no idea of how long she can hold on.  She really wanted to live to make her 78th birthday on June 21. (I told her.........for what, to get a birthday gift?   She laughted.)   We'll just have to wait and see!

Blessings to all of us...........everywhere!

Linda

Thanks for the birthday greeting, Milan and Linda.  Can't go backward, so it's on to next year.....serious age territory.

Happy Birthday Jack!

I'm typing this in large letters because at our age you need the big and bold.

69?

It's like a fine wine. Aged to perfection! I won't be there for another 5-months, but I'm not going to think about it. There are just too many things left to do and too many things left to enjoy.

Happy Birthday, Jack!     1946 was a very good year.

Thanks....with my regular readers I can make out the bold type pretty easily, and for the regular type, it just takes a little longer with industrial strength glasses.  What I think will really feel different is 70, but I'd like to squeeze as much as possible out of the 60s yet.

Happy Birthday Jack,

I'm 69 1/2 and it doesn't seem any different than 68 1/2.  At least as far as I can remember it.  I think my memory is slipping!

Right…..69  3/365 feels kind of like last year…....as I recall…....but that 70 needs to wait a while.

Melvin (Mel) Theobald

Jack, I'd like to tack another HAPPY BIRTHDAY onto the one's already heaped on you. My odometer is quickly approaching that 69 milestone as well, so I'm looking at all these comments as a kind of weather advisory. Stretch this one out as long as you can because the clock just seems to move faster every year. And keep an eye on Max who is bravely paving the way and setting the pace for the rest of us.

Thank you.......the neighbor's cat fell out when somebody leaked my age, but we had him sitting up in a minute or two.  That wouldn't be so easy with Max or Steve.

Terry (Max) Maxwell

Thanks Mel...

As a matter of fact, in a couple weeks I will hit the 'apex of 69', the pinnacle of the last year that starts with a 6, and start rapidly decending the next 6 months downhill into 70.  That just sounds old to me.  70... whodda thunk it?!

Now I shouldn't name names when it comes to age, but I know that Carol Trenary Logsdon is way older than me,  by a full day!  So I will rely on her to tell me what to expect when I hit the big 7-0 the next day.

If you would have told me back in high school that some day in the very distant future that we would be using something called a computer, typing messages to each other on a website, talking about turning 69 or 70... I would have thought you fell and hit your head really hard!

H B, J!  One thing that will be beneficial about turning 70 - I'll finally be able to hit from the Gold Tees!

Right......and you can wear support hose and nobody will think you're corny.

Sister Nancy died at 4:00 am this morning.  Her 'Celebration of Life' will follow her cremation by about 2-3 weeks.  See you then.

Linda, so sorry for your loss.

Terry.....being older than you I will give you some advice.  I don't talk about being sevvv...sevvv Well you know what that number is.  I was hoping that if you ignore it, it might go away!!

Carol...

Thanks... I'll take your advice.  I knew that being older, would also make you wiser than me!

Sorry to hear that Linda. God be with you and family.
