Michael (Mike) Franks
What is all of this crap on getting older? I couldn't wait for 16, DRIVE! 21, wasn't significant because I was in Vietnam. At 30, I was too old, couldn't be trusted. Then it was 40. Over the hill. At 50, everyone else, thought I was too old and ready for the pasture. Sex life, over! Moving on to 65, Social Security. That's it! "Officially, OLD". Now I'm seeing 70, on the horizon. All of a sudden I'm OK. My children think that maybe I do know a thing or two? I've fallen in love with my grand children and never felt better. Screw it! Bring it on, I can hardly wait. BTW, the sex life thing only slowed down at the big five-oh. (Well, I can imagine, can't I?) One regret. The hair is history, but I do save on shampoo.
Foot note: Looking at the class reunion pics..... Girls, you all, still look beautiful!
