Michael (Mike) Franks

What is all of this crap on getting older? I couldn't wait for 16, DRIVE!  21, wasn't significant because I was in Vietnam. At 30, I was too old, couldn't be trusted. Then it was 40. Over the hill. At 50, everyone else, thought I was too old and ready for the pasture. Sex life, over! Moving on to 65, Social Security. That's it! "Officially, OLD". Now I'm seeing 70, on the horizon. All of a sudden I'm OK. My children think that maybe I do know a thing or two? I've fallen in love with my grand children and never felt better. Screw it! Bring it on, I can hardly wait. BTW, the sex life thing only slowed down at the big five-oh. (Well, I can imagine, can't I?) One regret. The hair is history, but I do save on shampoo.

Foot note: Looking at the class reunion pics..... Girls, you all, still look beautiful!

Linda,

Christ's Peace to you and your family in your time of sorrow.  I'm sure that Nancy is now in God's hands where she is comforted.

PAX,

Thank you everyone!  I am pleased she is out of her body that was mobility impaired for the last 36 years.  There are worse things than death.  It is just a part of life's experience.  But, sometimes death comes in the form of a special Blessing!

As of now, I will arrive June 19, attend Nan's service on Saturday, June 20, and leave about 6:30 am on Sunday, June 21.  Wish I could have stayed longer, but work, children, and grandchildren have grabbed more of my attention and I have to prepare to travel a bit to see them all!

Love to all,

Linda

Suzi:  Thank you but I've got it covered!
I'm staying with Diane Gardner when I arrive.

I would love to see anyone who has time, perhaps at dinner time at a restaurant on Saturday night, June 20.  Everyone can eat together and visit?  Sounds good to me.  How about Shannon's?  I'll be there by 6:00 with Gardner!

Love ya, Linda

Marv, thank you so much for having the class mates out to your lovely home.

Great food, great conversation and fun pontoon ride.

Looking forward to August and seeing everyone.  Not sure when we will be back from vacation, but planning on being at Gill street if we are back.

Thanks again Marv

Milan posted a video above that could use some explanation. The class of '65 had their 50th reunion last weekend and, following in the footsteps of the class of '63 two years ago, former Mary Selk former choir members met at Westminster Village to perform under her direction. Mary is 94 and going strong as is readily visible in the video Milan posted. Other classes joined in the musical event including members of the class of '64. How many can you identify?

I found this when going through so old coins my dad had.  So far I've found 2 dimes, 3 pennies, and two nickels that are worth about $875.  Thought this might bring back some memories for you Bloomingtonians.
