Not sure who knows the Penn's but Paul Penn passed away yesterday.  He was a true hero.

Happy Birthday Dan,  Milan,,,, the 3 of us go back to 5th grade.  We had so much fun playing in the neighborhood.  Sure hope you both are well.

Linda, I would have loved to have visited with Roger Cox.  My 8th grade boyfriend.  We had fun together,  Glad to know he survived his accident too.  I know what he feels.

Howdy from Kansas, all Y'all ,

As much as I would have loved to have been there, the old body just wasn't up to another 7+ hour drive each way.  I was thinking of you, however, and really enjoyed the pictures.  Maybe if I get my private pilot license I can make some of the remaining minis - guess I'll have to start with ground school, the flight physical (I'm sure to pass....or not), and then buy a plane - I did buy a Mega Millions lottery ticket this week, so who knows.  Hope you knocked the horns off one and dragged it through the garden for me, along with a Jamison's.

Dave, we not only knocked the horns off, we saved the tail for you. Hope you don't mind but your's was filled with bourbon. We did that cause we kinda thought Ed might show up. Good luck with that pilot's license.

And now for the breaking news...Madelon showed up tonight and couldn't figure out why no one else was there until she checked this website and saw the photos from last Thursday. Madelon, we missed you as much as you missed us. REALLY!!!

Dianne Shaffer et al:

I'm not certain of just how soon I might be back in Bloomington.  My sister Nancy has her left lung filled with fluid and it is not going to be drained.  She is hoping to live to her 78th birthday...June 21.  I'm just waiting for the call to head home to Bloomington.

I speak to Nan about 3 times a week.  Even though she has 2 types of breathing treatments, Hospice is having to calm her down with a little morphine under her tongue each morning.  Then she is ok for the day.  For such a small person, my sister has the will of iron!

Girls:

Nancy would have me babysit for her kids so that she could go out!  Her hook-line was that I could have a slumber party at her place!!!! And I did...................I can't remember all of the slumber parties I had at every place she lived.  Sometimes there was hardly enough room for our bedrolls.  Dinner.........after the kids were in bed would be pizza and Pepsi.   Breakfast was cold pizza and warm Pepsi and doughnuts.  My goodness, its a wonder we grew up at all!!!!  But we have to admit that those Spudnuts were the best!

Her oldest son is 57 now.   Somehow time has just flown by!  I need to contact Boo and tell her. At one of those parties, she climbed on a trellis that fell down on her.  We had so much fun................nice to have good memories.

Habic:  Happy Birthday!

I have been notified that my sister, Nancy Bentley from LeRoy, has taken a turn for the worse.  Perhaps I will be visiting in Bloomington quite soon.  We have no idea of how long she can hold on.  She really wanted to live to make her 78th birthday on June 21. (I told her.........for what, to get a birthday gift?   She laughted.)   We'll just have to wait and see!

Blessings to all of us...........everywhere!

Linda

Thanks for the birthday greeting, Milan and Linda.  Can't go backward, so it's on to next year.....serious age territory.

Happy Birthday Jack!

I'm typing this in large letters because at our age you need the big and bold.
