BLOOMINGTON — Tobene “Tobi” Schramm Millar, born and raised in Bloomington and a 1965 graduate of Bloomington High School, passed away May 11, 2012, in Pensacola, Fla., near her residence after a long battle. Her mother, Donita Schramm, was by her side along with her daughter and grandson.

Tobi is survived by her mother; two children, Mindy and Andrew; their spouses; and five wonderful grandchildren.

Tobi lived with her mom and dad on Gridley Street from 1947 to 1966 until attending college at Southern Illinois University. Soon after graduating, she was married and moved to the San Francisco Bay area where she spent the next 20 years raising her children and exploring California.

Tobi moved to the Pensacola region in 1999 and her mother and daughter relocated nearby over the coming years. Tobi enjoyed the outdoor activities Florida has to offer and her grandchildren.

Her memory will be cherished by family and friends. A special thank you to Covenant Hospice for the support and care.

Linda,

Malinda is home now and is feelin better. She was last hospitalized just before mother's day for some surgery to fix the problem she was having with her colostomy. She continues to lose weight however, now weighin in at 94 pounds... On the other hand, we spent a great day yesterday with the kids on her boat and probably will repeat that today..

Of course, we don't know what is coming next, just that something will and we will have to deal with it as best we can

We are still on the roller coaster.  Daves' MRI was done this week in Chicago.  Some the heart doctors were there and when he was done one of the doctors came out and talked to us.  His ejction fraction is now normal.  The doctor said he couldn't explain it but Dave said he could.  "GOD"

We find out next week what the liver MRI shows.  Hopefully all the cancer is gone.

We went to Katies graduation today.  (granddaughter).  Good ole purple and gold!

THANK YOU TO ALL THE VETS!

Hellllooooo out there!   Is anyone hoooommmmeee?

This site is boring when there isn't any interaction!   Does anyone know a good joke?

Happy birthday to Vicki Daugherty and Jack Habic!

We are having particulate air due to the fires in Arizona and New Mexico.  There's nothing like the need to chew the air you're trying to breathe!

Are there any out-of-towners who are planning on showing up in Bloomington for the August mini-reunion?  Looking forward to responses, any responses, anyone who may be breathing.........

Love to all,

Linda

Jack Habich

Thanks.

Right Milan.  What’s to be ashamed?  Many people made this their regular daily stop, they voted with their money, and the deceased were acknowledged.  Thanks for your part in this, and everyone's participation, and hopefully it can be sustained.

My day will be a Jetton-like day (not his London and Paris though), except I did just sell something on the phone that would more than cover the unlikely chance of a celebration breaking out.

linda,

The site ebbs and flows, just like life...

Not a joke, but Malinda and i are in beautiful, cold, cloudy Louisville, Ky for a wedding... drove in about an hour ago

happy b'day to the birthday kids

Ed:  Thanks for answering.

I'm sure glad my life doesn't emulate the ebb and flow of this site...........I never want to be that bored!

Where is all of the zest that we all had?  Did it get dumped on the way to aging?   What in the heck happened to so many people?

I celebrate every day that I wake up and I'm on the TOP side of the grass!

Took my first helicopter lesson.   It scared the heck out of me!   But, I'm going for another one tomorrow!  I will complete those 6 lessons if it kills me.

Hope the wedding is beautiful and your family has a wonderful time together!

Who added the wonderful music to our sight?  It is so good!

Linda

Linda,

hope you can liven up the site sothat on one is bored... I am not bored, but I have lots goin on to act as anti-boredom pills ..

helecopter lessons, huh? I am waay jealous...I always dreamed of flying(my dad flew both fighters and bombers in WW 2), but no way could I pass a flight physical with my hearing... so I live vicariously thru folks I know who can.... keep us advised of your progress..

A good friend who flew Cobras in VN claims that helicopters really can't fly. He says they are so ugly the earth repels them!

Ed:

The lesson was bumpy.   We had a little wind.   I felt like a mosquito in the wind.  It is a tiny copter.   I don't recommend them.  But, I'm going to persevere.   I refuse to give up.

Linda

Hi:

Realizing that this seems like I'm using this venue to be much like WJBC's Problem's and Solutions show, I am looking for a good recipe for fresh strawberry pie.   Does anyone out there have one they would share?

Linda

And tomorrow Linda will be asking "How do you get strawberry stains out of a white shirt?" :)
