Karen Sue (Suzi) Denton (Merritt)

Thank you all for the prayers.  I had some scary moments after surgery.  My oxygen level went down to 79.  I didn't get out of the hospital until 5...should have been out by 2.

Love to the class of 64

Suz

Suzie - Thanks for the quick update. I wondered all day yesterday how you were doing. Hopefully this will get you back to being pain free and allow you to be more active. You'll probably be doing pushups by the end of the week. They're delicious - root beer is the best! Here's wishing you a speedy recovery.

Sandra Jeakins (Singletary Sizemore)

Suzi, thanks for the update.  You have been in my thoughts and prayers during the surgery and will continue thru recovery.  Glad you are out of the hospital, even though it was later than you expected.

Marvin:  I had to read your post a couple of times about the push-ups. I finally got it.  Duh for me!  LOL

 .

Suzi

Glad thing went well during your procedure.  I will leave you on the prayer list for a while. It seeems like recovery takes longer than we think.  The older I get, Back to Normal, seems to take forever.

OK  Sandy and  Marv.... Duh to me... don't get the relationship between

pushups  and  root beer....   is this a Bloomington thing that a Michigander

would not know about?

ALSO  glad your doing great Suzi.... continued prayers.... maybe now you'll

be able to raise your hand quicker when you get the Bingo win !

Jim - These are the PushUps Suzie can be doing by the end of the week or later tonight. I don't see root beer sad. Outrageous Orange would work for me.

Marvin:   I thought of you when Lay's put a picture of this on Facebook.   It said they are a "Fake Favor" so not sure if they really are available.  Do you think you would like them?

Sandy - Well, maybe for dessert but only after a couple of Dave's hot dog popsicles. Wouldn't want to spoil my dinner.

WEBSITE FUND REQUEST

A few of our classmates have over time inquired about the need for money to support our website expenses. Steve Jetton (assisted by Sharon Green Leipold) is our volunteer Treasurer, meaning he deposits money received and pays it out as necessary. I keep a spreadsheet that provides a check and balance on Steve's records. We only have one checking account, but we keep a running record on the difference between money collected to support the website and to cover reunion expenses.

For the five year reunions, we try to plan for enough reserve funds to cover preliminary expenses needed prior to receiving classmate payments for reservations. For the website we pay for the domain name annually and periodically for the website/security certificate renewals. The current total account balance is $407.32. The website fund owes $114.44 to the reunion fund which should be $521.76 at this time.

In summary, it is past time to solicit voluntary website support donations. The website is currently paid through 7/18/25, the domain name through 7/17/23 and the security certificate through 4/17/25. With five year reunion expenses starting in early 2024 and since the website fund owes the reunion fund money it is time to ask for donations to support the website.

A total of $200 would repay the reunion fund and carry the website to 7/17/25. Any amount collected over that would be reserved for future website renewal expenses. Please contact me or Steve privately if you would care to make a donation.

For all you aiderswho believe in prayer.  My wife Sandra is going in for by-pass surgery on Sept. 13.  The problem was discovered recently when she went in for her annual physical.  Any prayers will be appreciated.

Hi Fellow Classmates and All: I finally remembered my password. I have wanted to reply for awhile. Suzi, so glad you are doing better now!
Prayers for those having surgery, your wife, David? Linda, so sorry about your brother? I know you have lost several siblings in the last few years. Always hard.

My brother Raymond, 88, last sibling is at The Martin House, not doing well. Prayers for peace for him. We had planned to get up to Bloomington but Dave has had a few health issues we've needed to take care of, nothing major. We are blessed to be as healthy as we are at our ages!

Hope are of you enjoy your Fall, it's still summer here for another month🤪

Boo

Terri,  back in the old summer days I remember Ray and Tinker Jentry as "divers", and I always

tried to copy them, etc...  Happy to see he has had a long life and still with you.  Tom (Chili) Chambers

Boo:  So sorry to hear about your brother Ray.  Bless his soul!

I have one left......Marcia.

I'm sending prayers for you and Dave.  I figure they can't hurt!

It seems that the last few waves of storms and rain have been heading east.  Hope your house hasn't flooded.

I'm hoping that after this year, everything cools down and calms down around the world.  If it doesn't--I'm not traveling anywhere.

God Bless you and take good care of yourself!

Love ya, Linda

Linda, I now remember you still have Marcia! That's good!

Hello everyone!  Marvin helped me get re-connected to site yesterday.  Thank you so much.  I have been wanting to be able to message for awhile now.  With David Uban passing away 1 year ago and my sister Jeanne this year I cannot express how important it is to be kind, grateful and loving to your friends and family.  I have beautiful high school friends and my only granddaughter is a junior at BHS. Blessing to you all.  Marvin also advised me that we can view other class sites if you had friends older or younger than class of 64.  I was pleased to be able to see those too.  Again thank you Marvin.

Hi All,

I'm sorry to hear of all the losses of friends and family  being suffered by our classmates.  Know that I think of you often and wish everyone well.

Dorothy and I are still in Kansas.  We've purchased a money pit in Chicago, but once in there after the previous owners moved out, we discovered M A N Y things that need fixed or replaced, including kitchen cabinets, window surrounds and window treatments, the woodwork and baseboards, et al.

On a positive note:

The previous owners did leave 4 cans of LeCroix, 6 bottles of San Pelegrino and a martiini glass in one of the cabinets.  Of course, 3 of the bottles of San Pelegino were partially consumed and the martini glass was broken and in pieces.  Small parting gifts.

We hope to be closer to Bloomington in time for the Winter Mini and are looking forward to being able to attend more events in the Land of the Raiders.  Let me know if you would like to buy a home in Overland Park, KS
