Riddle me this:

Q: When is a door not a door?

A: When it's ajar.

Which country's capital has the fastest-growing population?  Ireland.  Every day it's Dublin.

Hi everyone!  I enjoyed all of the puns!

Has anyone heard from Suzy Denton lately?  How is she doing?

Marvin: It sounds like you are healing well!  I hope you don't mess up the healing process by trying to do too much outside!  Take good care!

Also, have you spoken to Mrs. Holcomb lately?

Love to all, Linda

Thought for the day--  An African parable says, 'Every morning in Africa, a gazelle wakes up.  It knows that it must run faster than the fastest lion or it will be killed.  Every morning a lion wakes up.  It knows that it must outrun  the slowest gazelle or it will starve to death.'  It does not matter whether you are a lion or a gazelle:  When the sun comes up, you better be running.

And I imagine you don't have to be the fastest gazelle in the herd... just faster than the slowest one!

My Yahoo News just mentioned California fires have touched in Irvine, CA.  That is where Teri Sue lives.  Has anyone heard from her?

Happy day to you all!

I woke up with snow and 30 degrees!  My front steps are iced over and so is my patio.  I can't get out of my house to get to my car.

Strange weather for the Sun City!

Terri,

I sent Teri Sue's  Brother, Mike, a message on Facebook telling him you were wondering about Teri, and trying to reach out to her.   My Mom and Dad and his Mom and Dad were good friends, back in the day.  In fact, my Dad worked with his Dad, cutting trees.  Hopefully, I will hear from Mike, or I told him she could answer on our class website.  If I hear anything, I'll let you know.

Boo and Sandy:  Thanks for your efforts.  I hope this will work.

I had exhausted my contact info too.   So pleased that Sandy has an ace that she can pull out!

Love ya both,

Linda

In The Pantagraph obituaries this morning, Gary Eskridge died on 10/23.  Three days after his birthday.  A while back,  I had talked with him on Facebook and he remembered me.  There were 2 pictures of him.  One when he was in the service, and a more current picture.  His family are in my thoughts and prayers.   RIP, Gary.

Sandy:

Thanks for telling us about Gary Eskridge.  His father Charlie was a friend of my father. Gary was a very nice person all of his life.  RIP!

Hi All,Teri Sue got a hold of me today. They are doing fine, but it was a little touch and go a while back. North of them is the worse area. They had friends that had to evacuate and stayed with them for awhile. We had a nice chat. Thanks to all who helped get the word out that we were concerned. Teri says she gets on our website at times, but is not in to responding.
You all stay safe!

It's a very sad day for me.  Gary Eskridge passed away October 23.  We used to call each other big brother...little sister.  Gary was one of the nicest guys I know.

Condolences to his family.

RIP in dear big brother.  🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻

Boo: Thank you for letting us know about Teri Sue.  Did you check on her current contact info? Many people are giving up land lines and keep only cell phones.  Also, many people are downsizing and moving.

I am just pleased that she is ok and safe!

Suzi:  So sorry for your loss!  I didn't know that you and Gary were such close friends.

Do you remember his father and his beautiful black horse?

Take care.....

Love to you both,

Linda

Another time change weekend is upon us, so -- at about 2am sunday, set your clocks back one hour.

If I'm awake and think of it, I might make some spot checks at about 330am. But if your number isn't in my cell phone, you're less likely to get a call. (Just kidding, sort of.)

Anyone going to Gary's visitation tomorrow?  I'm going to try to go.
