I don't have a pet, but happened on this group of furry animals when I went out the kitchen door one day.

GREAT SUGGESTIONS - that should see us through almost a month and give us each a chance to delete a bunch of duplicate photos we have online.  Right now I have over 16k in my photos file on the cloud.  Many, Many, Many are duplicates or those taken in rapid succession.  Time to pare them down to a manageable level.

Wendy, Maggie and I had an encounter with a Mother Coon and several babies last Summer.  The Mom ran away and some of her babies followed but 2 stayed on the deck and were hissing at me.  Then they went away.  I have a fenced in area but I always go out and check the yard now before letting Maggie out just in case.  I was surprised the Mother didn't fight Maggie, because Maggie took of after her and was barking.  My neighbor said she probably was hoping all her babies would follow her out of the fence.

How about rivers and streams for Sunday?

There were actually five raccoons there, I just didn't get a complete picture.  Love the cat, Joan.  We have had cats through the years but at the moment I on,y have a grandcat living in San Francisco.

This is Heidi, a mixed breed the family acquired in 1979. I was the last to know. When I saw my son Jim coming into the house with a bag of dog food, I said "Hey, we don't have a dog." Cane the reply, "Uh, yes we do, Dad."

And Shiner. Yes, he's named for Shiner Bock, the only potable beer I know of that's made in Texas. (Anheuser Busch products excepted, although I don't drink them. Janet bought him in 2013 as a pet. But these days, we could list him as "Head of Household" on our taxes. He's a Papillon.

Sandy took "Rivers and Streams" for Sunday.  I'm going with "Adventure" for Monday.  Anything you think is an adventure.  That keeps it pretty wide open.

I was also thinking of a way to get more people involved.  So if we have a day where "anything goes" then maybe we'll get some new takers.  Pick a favorite picture and post it.  Could do it once a week and see how how it goes.  Your thoughts?  I think Friday would be a good day... could be "Freestyle Friday".

BTW...  I've never had a pet so I can't post anything today.

Got it Sandy...Rivers and Streams for tomorrow. You are all fabulous.

I've only had a few pets in my life. The last one was in 1994. He was a rescue dog named Bobby. We heard that the previous owner used to beat him with a newspaper. He was a Sheltie and we changed his name to Bob Dog, which made my 50 or so friends named Bob think he was named after them. Anyway, my kids loved him and so did I.

Since then, I've had a few stuffed animal friends as pets, one of which is Cheburashka, the Russian Mickey Mouse. He is my granddaughters favorite and she sometimes borrows him for a few days, but she always brings him back. Few of you know this character, so I'm adding this YouTube link. Kids as well as adults love it. Hope you'll take time to watch.

How fun. Just learned this ironic tidbit from Max. TODAY IS NATIONAL PET DAY. So, I'm betting Wendy knew that all along when recommending this topic. LOL

Wendy, I loved your little marauders. And thank you for playing along with your Silly Me post yesterday. Couldn't help laughing when seeing you with a polish sausage (?) and fries while, at the same time, thinking the nearly empty cup of wine might have explained the look on your face. We need to get you out more often.

One last thought for today, Sandy and Dave have had an amazing Autodogography. Each and every one is a treat.

Another final thought (really, there's no end to them), if any of you have wee ones in your life, please share the Cheburaska video with them. It is special for me in too many ways to explain here, but they will like it.

See you all tomorrow. Hugs. Be safe. Be happy.

Happy Easter!!! Hope you are able to enjoy it as you continue practicing social distancing. Here are a couple of photos in keeping with todays STREAMS AND RIVERS theme that will hopefully help make your day better.

First is a stream near Ashville, NC in 2012.

WISHING EVERYONE A VERY HAPPY EASTER!

Today's Theme was streams - as was going to post a link to 'streaming' but decided against it:

The stream was moving but this was just a little still spot away from the current

This is the stream that surrounds the Imperial Palace in Tokyo - although it's pretty much a moat...

I have a few here.  Can't seem to put text between pictures though.  One is a river emanating from a glacier in Iceland.  Another is the Deschutes River near Bend, Oregon.  Another is the Rhine looking at a town on the banks.  There is a kilometer marker for every kilometer on the Rhine.

Also wishing everyone a HAPPY EASTER!  Hope the bunny stopped by your place and left some treats.

Here are some pics of rivers in Alaska.

This was taken at Yellowstone Park.

This was taken at Rushing River Provinicial Park.  We pulled on to the side of the road and Ron took the photo.  We later had it made into a larger picture that still hangs in my living room.

Happy Easter Everybody.

HAPPY EASTER!!!

This is a series taken on the Moscow River at night. Maybe not as scenic as others, but it was a magical moment seeing the street lights and neon colors from Borodinsky Bridge reflected in the dancing current of the river. My friend, Gennady Troshkov, and I were on our way back to his studio when I screamed, "Stop the car." I jumped out and began snapping away. Water has been one of the most consistent themes of my work.

Wendy, this will solve your problem. You can begin a post using text or photo, but before writng more text or going to the next image, hit the RETURN key. That will give you a fresh line. Then continue writing or add a new photo, then hit RETURN again. Each time you write or upload something, make sure your cursor is set on a new line. This can also be done between photos to keep them from running together.

Happy Easter everyone! Love seeing all of your pictures! Sounds like you are all doing well. Jim and I are healthy. I am working from home and looks like I will be doing that for some time. Not a big fan because I miss all of my co workers. But eventually things will get back to normal. Stay safe and healthy.

David, what a wonderful reminder those eggs are that this is Easter. Guessing the Easter bunny didn't bring them. If he did, he's a lot bigger than I thought he was. LOL Great to see you taking part is this photo challenge. Keep em comin'.

Wendy, looks like you're getting the hang of this. Love seeing your photos.

Tomorrow, ADVENTURE. Oh boy, can't wait to see that.

Sometimes I have photos, then there are times when the 'confuser' won't let me find them.

ADVENTURE is going to be fun.

Everyone say Thank You, Dave......I'm NOT going to use any more Nam pictures.

Will get back to the Forum after I spend a few more hours going through old files and shredding or recycling.  Does anyone else have tax returns from 1986?
