This is true.  We are lucky, we have 6 healthy kids and 15 grandkids who are doing good.  We enjoy traveling and seeing sporting events such as football.   GO BEARS!!!!!  Also the NCAA basketball tournaments.

For all you wrestling enthusiasts check out u-tube national wrestling this past weekend.  One of the kids who won the championship has only one leg.  Wrestling is a true sport!  I was at one of my sons meets for sectionals and I got so excited when he won I broke the heal off my shoe. I'm surprised I didn't fall on my butt!!

Hey Suzi..........I saw the winner on National News tonight with only one leg.  That's something to be proud of.  Hip Hip Hooray for him!  What a great example he sets for those with missing limbs. CONGRATULATIONS!

Marilyn, it's a lot of fun stopping at different casinos when you're traveling.  We're going to Laughlin on our way to California in April.  I hope we win some dough to help pay for the gas to get out there. LOL

Suzi, that is too funny!  It is exactly what we did on our way to California.  Good luck!

Yea, Marilyn, you just described me to a "T"...

BTW, I have been meaning to ask you if you know my sister, Ann Luhcs, also living in Downs..

Suzi, I have been to Laughlin and came out 400.00 ahead but I know when to quit.  I'd rather spend my money on SHOES & PURSES!!!  But it is fun

I too quit smoking, about 20 yrs ago .  was up to 2 1/2 packs a day.  George and I quit at same time, cold turkey.   We managed to stay married and not killed each other.  The best thing I ever did but I still like my beer and vodka!!!  Just not as much of it.

And it is a good thing that we have managed to arrive at a time in our lives that we can basicly do and say as we please, that  is one thing to say about being a senior citizen

Life is good!!!!!!!!!!!

Hanner's Market had the best meat ever.  Paul Hanner was my father in law.

Judy, I don't drink because my husband can't because of his liver.  His liver is deased and he has to give a pint of blood every month.  So we enjoy our carbonated water. LOL  Now if I could get about 70 pounds of fat off of me than I'd be happy.

Suzi, I too am battling weight gain.  Tommy gets thinner and I get fatter.  It makes no sense.  I find that drinking 2 glasses of water before every meal tends to curb my appetite and fill me up before eating, plus I spend most of my eating time in the bathroom!!!  UGH!  Guess that goes with the aging process?  It stinks!  My Bikini days are long over!

Karen Sue (Suzi) Denton (Merritt)

Heck my short days are over.  I'm wearing capris on vacation.  If I get brave I may sit by the pool to give all the young people a good laugh.  LOL  I do drink alot of water and my two cups of coffee a day.

Ed, I have not had the pleasure of meeting your sister. Since I live outside of Downs (somewhere in no man's land between Downs & Holder) I don't know too many people in the town... unless they have been there a long time.  After my kids graduated I didn't have much reason to go there anymore.

Marilyn Evans (Tate)

Sounds like I am not the only one chasing the pounds. Trouble is they sneak around me and jump on my butt!  I lost 40 of them about 3 years ago. So far they haven't found their way back but I know they are there .... lurking.... somewhere behind the mashed potatoes & gravy and the hot fudge sundaes just waiting to pounce!

I think we are all facing the battle of the bulge.  I lost 25 when I retired in 04 but there is 10 of it that keeps coming back.  George on the other hand can lose by just missing a few meals.  Aint Fair.

I still wear shorts but they are at the knees now but still put on a bathing suit when going to the beach.  Don't look any worse that most of them I've seen. Young ones too!!

Good to see you Marilyn.   If I ever figure out how to post  pictures on this website, I will show you how I really LOOK!!!

For everyone who doesn't know how to post pictures in here, all you have to do is click on the picture button at the top of the page where you respond. It will open a window and click on browse. Then it will probably open your "My Pictures" page. If not, just move it to My Pictures. Then click on the picture you want to post and it will upload or download. It all means the same to me. (laugh)

Below is where you will find that picture button. It works the same way for adding pictures to your profile.

Judy... I was mistaken, I thought that was a recent picture and you still look the same as when you were in high school.
