I can do at least 10 push-ups a day but my doctor frowns on it. (laugh)

Annie...  I don't see any responses as to whether August 6th works for a get-together.  I don't have anything on my calendar yet, but it's early.  So I will plan on that date if you choose it... unless something comes up that I don't know about and can't make it.  Otherwise, I will be down.

I can be there in August. We had a lot of fun at breakfast this morning. This is getting cheaper every week. Again this week my meal was paid for but I can't find out who paid for it. :)

A decision has been made for our reunion this summer:

                             August 6, 2011 starting at 4:00 p.m.

GILL STREET SPORTS BAR & RESTAURANT

3002 GILL STREET

BLOOMINGTON, IL.  (Off Airport Road)

They have great food and a great outdoor area where you can drink and dance.   Maybe they will have a good band that night?

I don't know yet if mailers will be sent out, forgot to talk about that.

Hope everyone can come.

Interesting to see Jim Wilson in the track pic.  When we moved to Chicago in 1969, I bought my clothes at kind of a cool place on Michigan Avenue called Cosmo's.  I walk in one day, and he's working there selling suits and things.  Saw him there a few times and around Chicago for a while, but then he vanished.  Wonder where he is now.

Glad you can come in August, Milan.  I know who bought your breakfast this morning, but I'm sworn to secrecy.  It wasn't me.  Had a great time this morning.  Can't wait until next Wednesday.

August is a LOOOONg way off, but I will do my best... I do need reminders..

Told one of my sales reps today that I needed a remindeer to do something tomorrow he needs done... he reminded me 4 times this afternoon... had to explain the difference between reminders and nagging... :).. of course, since he is only a couple of years younger than me, and is retiring in May, he just smiled, flipped me the bird and reminded me again... good to work with friends ..even when they nag

We'll probably make a trip to Illinois in June depending on how things are going with Rita (Moore) Duncan and Jim, so probably won't return for the August Reunion.  Sounds as though Milan has revived the Class of 64's enthusiasm.  Go Milan!  Great job!  Wish I were closer to attend some of the breakfasts..........Cheryl, if you'll buy I'll try really hard to make it!  LOL! You must be rich????

Yes, Milan has gone the extra mile for our class and it is much appreciated.

Helen, I hardly call paying for a $4 breakfast being rich.  If you are here sometime and don't have $4, I'll be glad to buy your breakfast.

August 6th sounds good to me, nothing planned except Mother-in-Laws B-day but will probably do that early.

Thanks Milan too for getting this started, been fun, just like Facebook huh?  Need to get a few more people involved but you and Cheryl are still very intertaining.

See all in a couple weeks.  Can't wait

By the way Terry didn't make it to the Pub Crawl this morning,  I can't hardly walk and you think I should be able to crawl? NOT!

We all know that Milan has helped us tremendously on this website trying to get people involved, but let's not forget about Jack Habich who spent a lot of time on this also.  He got the music going on the home page, has posted numerous pictures from our past reunions, etc.  For someone who really didn't want to get involved, he has done more for this website than our past administrators.  Jack knows what people are interested in and how to get them participating.  Just didn't want all his work to go unnoticed.

Jack has been the inspiration to revive this site. I just helped where I could. But most of it came from those who decided to get involved. No one enjoyed watching me talk to myself. (laugh)

This has been a group effort. To insure this site keeps moving forward, it will take even more of a group effort. I have to say, in the beginning, I wasn't sure it was going anywhere. But some of you came through and the site is well on it's way. Yesterday, you actually had more visits than the Class of 1963. Be proud. Soon is the time for us all to get down to some work on it. We will need a committee of local people to help make calls and finish what we have started here. Anyone who has more minutes on their cell phones than they use can help us make contacts. And it won't cost anything but time. We have a directory printed out and if we can find enough volunteers, each person can take a page and make the contacts. Any volunteers?????????

Thanks Jack!!!!!!!!

We also need to recognize both Jack Keefe and Sue Ermantraut for all their efforts made in the past.  Without them, we probably wouldn't even have this site.  Thanks to all of you for inspiring the Class of 64.

Cheryl, $4??????  WHAT????  WOW! at that price what can I say?  I guess we spent too much time in California this winter so now EVERYTHING sounds cheaper, especially gasoline at the cheapest $4.09 per gallon and as high as $4.82 per gallon.  Oh yeah........that is diesel and there's no reason for that!  UGH!!  Do we have speculators out there again?

03/17/11 09:26 PM #707

Ed Stanfield

Speculators haven't gone anywhere... they are drivin the bus IMHO...

Max...thanks for the kind words and prayers... we appreciate them

Ed

I talked to Jack and Sue both before I got involved in this. They both were wanting the site to move forward. Helen, I agree. Sue and Jack have also had an effect in this revival. It was Annie and Mike Eddings that asked me here. I still see Jack several times per month. I can't wait until he gets active in here. He does have a lot on his plate and he is still getting stronger. Come on Sue, we need you back too.
