A Recent Study Found Some Interesting Results

Frequency of Sexual Activity

The frequency of sexual activity of senior males depends on where they were born.

Statistics just released from Statistics Canada and The United Nations Board of Health Teams revealed that:  North American men between 60 and 80 years of age, will on average, have sex two to three times per week, whereas Japanese men, in exactly the same age group, will have sex only once or twice per year if they are lucky.

This has been very upsetting news to most of my buddies at our Wednesday morning coffee group, as none of them had any idea they were Japanese.

Post Script:

One of my buddies said the statistics are wrong as he and his wife make love almost every day:

Almost on Monday; Almost on Tuesday; Almost on Wednesday......you get the idea!

I was saddened to see, in The Pantagraph today, Donitta Watson Hall has passed away.  I went thru grade school and high school with her.  The last time I saw her was at her SIster's house in the early 1980's.   Her Sister's husband used to fish with Ron, my late first husband, and we went to parties at there house and Donitta was there. Too late to wish we had kept in touch.

Hi all!

I just watched the video.  That was neat for me to get to see you all!

Next time: I would like to see a singing and dancing revue!!!!!!  Costumes and all please!

When are we going to get some people to show up?  They live there locally and yet they don't participate in our mini-reunions.   Maybe they don't understand that we're happy to see each other, even if we don't recognize them at first and have to re-introduce ourselves!

Discover your class...................again!

Love to all,

Linda

Just as an answer and my own opinion.......Maybe after 54 years, some of the members of the Class of '64 have moved on. Who really cares? I don't live in the past. My life revolves around my children and their children. What people think of me, or what they might remember, doesn't mean a damn thing to me. This is 2018!

Mike:

Thanks for speaking up.  It isn't that we live in the past.  All of us have our own lives and are busy.  We make choices as we go.  But, a little visit with old friends once in a while............doesn't hurt.........and might be enjoyable.  For some people, it might be a reaquaintance that ends up being more enjoyable than we had any idea  would be possible.

I hope some of those in Bloomington will try to show up more.  It isn't about what people think of anyone.......everyone is just happy to see each other.   We are adults now and we can rehash some history together.  However, we also have things of current interest that might arise.  Most of us have children, grndchildren, and even great-grandchildren.

It is rather amazing how similar things come up with people of similar ages.  Even though we live miles apart, similar things still arise.

Perhaps next year, you will come and take a peek at all of us!  We'll all be waiting to see everyone!

Blessings to you and your's!

Linda Elias

If I were to reminisce upon one series of events in HS.........It would probably be......What ever happened to Bob Hanner and that old Dodge/DeSoto, that we used to ride to school in? That thing was like an army tank. Hanner was "one tough guy". He uesd to kick my butt in his yard on Hickory St. until I thought I would die! He let me live..................

Mike:

As far as I know, Bob Hanner still lives there.  I was him a few years ago.  I think he said they were interested in selling their house and maybe downsizing.

I hadn't posted in months, but I started to get hung on reminiscing. Our classmate Pam Sperlin was a great drummer! I remember her drum cover of "Money-That's whatI I want". Lot's of garage bands covered that song. Remember The Shatter Tones? (sorry about the spelling)           I miss her.

Mike:

I do remember the Shatter Tones!  There were some great dances with them playing.  Perhaps Dave Gaston will show up at one of our mini-reunions.

So pleased that you remember them and Pam Sperlin with good memories!

Linda

Thanks, Linda. I'm usually a very private person. I happened to listen to a few oldies on YouTube, and heard that old song. I thought that I would share a memory. I'm glad that you remembered it too.

Joan Pease (Clark)

I had just ended my sophomore year when our family moved to Palm Springs, CA, and this site allows me to find out what the future held for so many of my classmates. I've known some of you since grade school and was delighted to find you here. I had heard about Pam Sperlin's death but didn't know she was a drummer; thanks for that tidbit, Mike. Also, I listen to oldies music whenever I'm in the car - tunes like "Summertime Blues" or "Runaway" take me right back to my teens. Sweet memories.

Mike, I don't know for sure but you may have Pam mixed up with her sister Karen. Karen played the drums and was in a band. I never knew Pam to be in a band, but she was very musical. Growing up we went all the way through Franklin School together, took piano lessons from the same teacher, and I considered her a close friend. I have many good memories of the times we spent together: slumber parties, playing the family marimba, piano, Karen's drum, and just hanging out together. When we left high school and went to different colleges we drifted somewhat apart; but, she will never be forgotten and will always be remembered with love. Pam was a large part of my childhood and I miss her too!

Judy, thank you for sharing your memories. A few of my facts have become fuzzy over the years. I had forgotten Franklin school. I attended Lincoln and Irving before going to BJHS.

Joan, it is always a pleasure to hear from you. Crank up the volume and rock&roll!

Mike
