Terry (Max) Maxwell

That’s great!  I’ve seen a couple interviews with her at their last two games.  Go Ramblers!  My pool is toast so I’m pulling for Loyola as a dark horse.

Gosh dang it, Max. Do you have to give away all my secrets?

Dave and Max, Sister Jean is awesome. Yes, her bracket was busted, but I'm hoping for Loyola to make the Final Four. Bruce Weber and Bill Self left Illinois for Kansas State and Kansas. I'm hoping they both get their behinds kicked and we'll see Loyola or Michigan play Villanova for the championship.

What do you think Suzi?

Karen Sue (Suzi) Denton (Merritt)

Mel, I picked a long shot Purdue but they lost last night so I’m pretty much out of it.   It was fun while it lasted.  Now I’m waiting to watch my Cubbies!!!!

I’m going for Loyola all the way. Did you know that Bill Self got around a $300k bonus for getting into the Elite 8?  His salary is also the highest of anyone at KU.

Weber didn’t really have a choice, though, since he was fired from Illinois.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY SUSAN!!  HAVE A GREAT AND FUN DAY!  🎂🎁🍮🎉🍰🥂

Dave, you are right. Bruce Weber was fired at Uof I and got a bad deal. The Chicago Trib had a great article this morning and I have to say he should be given lots of credit for the decency he brings to college basketball. I also didn't know that Moser, Loyola's coach, was at ISU. I always liked Lou Henson, but I still hope Bill Self gets trounced. That brings us to Loyola and tonight's game. No matter whether they play Michigan (Big 10) or Florida State (a 9 seed), this is gonna be great.

There are only two sporting events that I watch every year, the Indy 500 and the NCAA Tournament. This one has been awesome even though my brackets have been destroyed. But I did pick Villanova to beat Michigan in the Championship. If I had it to do all over again, I'd wish for Loyola to win the National Championship. :-)

Thank you, Suzi.  We shared many a birthday when we were kids on Felton Pl.

Hard to fathom, but there are 550 brackets out of  over 17 million that have the correct Final Four.

This is so exasperating! What is wrong with this? Am I the only one who is having problems trying to post something in the message forum?  When I click the return key,  It puts the curser back at the top of my writings, instead of moving down to the next paragraph.

Howdie,

Argh, this is actually my 3rd paragraph, but, it put it at the top.  Help!

Okay, I'm going to try this again.  I just will try to remember not to press the return key.  Or should I say the enter  key?  Now, how am I going to start a new paragraph, when it skips to the top of what I am typing.

There is something wrong with the code on this website, or something wrong with me.  Probably the later.

Now I am trying a Chrome browser.

OH, now it works!  Must have been my Safari browser that was making everything act up. Now, when I click enter, it make a new paragraph below instead of at the top of my post.  Yay!

Anyway,  I'm trying to answer David Long, Linda Bristow, and Karen Sue Denton, who mentioned my art.  Thanks for your kind words and encouragement.  I didn't have time or place to work on art the whole time I was raising my sons.  At that time, I was busy home schooling, running my own home business of doing costumed singing telegrams, being a wife, and mother to two growing boys. It wasn't until our sons moved out on their own, that I had some space and time to get back into art. I think I only did one or two paintings in 22 years. Art is like bike riding though.  You just get back on the bike and pray you don't fall off. I quickly got better at it, with each new piece and the Lord is opening new doors for me in my "old age".  I feel like Sarah in the Bible, who didn't give birth until she was 90 years old.

Back in September I was walking through the living room and feeling sorry for myself, thinking my "productive days" were over.  I used to sing telegrams, sing before a lot of people, get invited to sing at various churches, do gospel concerts, play my harp for people, etc. and no one was ever asking me anymore.  I had made a CD with my harp music on it, and healing scriptures and was even giving them away, and later I would ask if they had listened to it, and many said NO. So I was bummed. Sooo, I asked God if He was done with me, and at this point I almost didn't even care if He was, because I was tired of trying.  Then the phone started ringing and in two days, I had booked 3 places to sing and someone ordered 200 CDs from me. The CD that no one wanted to hear, can now be heard around the world on the internet, on places like Spotify, Pandora, I tunes, Amazon, etc. I made it 19 years ago and hand burned and printed out every single one of those CDS. Finally, I got them professionally produced.  It only took 19 years.  I don't know why I am crying my heart out with people who barely know me, if at all. The only thing we have in common now, is that we graduated from the same high school.  I moved away a long ago.

To answer Linda's question, you can see more of my art, or music at my main website. It's just my name plus the dot com. http://NancyCupp.com

I hope somehow my little blurb has encouraged you.  It isn't over until HE says it is over. I decided  I am going to grow younger instead. Tee hee! I must admit it is a challenge! We are constantly getting new cells every day, so I'm speaking life, good health, and vitality into mine. Psalm 107:20 He sent His word and healed them and delivered them from their destructions. Psalm 103:5 Who satisfies your mouth with good things, So that your youth is renewed like the eagle’s.

Have a great day everyone!

Nancy, thanks for posting. I'm glad that you have shared your thoughts and many experiences with me. I feel quite sure that there are many other of your classmates that feel the same.

I hope that you will continue to keep us informed with your success. You seem very excited. I'm happy for you! I have been known to cave-in to the "Poor Little Old Me" syndrome many times. You have inspired me to always keep looking ahead.

Happy Easter! I was posting another childhood picture on Facebook and thought, "Hey, it would be fun to see classmates' pictures from Easters past." Realizing this is a busy day for most, but it's the thought that counts. Footnote: I have no idea why John was allowed to hold a toy knife in this picture, but of course those were different times.

Joan, what a cute picture of you and John.  I’ll see if I can find any old pictures from when I was a kid.  Always got a new dress, shoes, gloves and hat for church.

OK, this is kind of unbelieveable, but I received an email from MMLive that 2 of my 4 brackets for the finals are still live - but they are really busted and only the final 2 picks are still in there.  I've got Villinova in one and Michigan in the other.  Obviously my Virgina bracket went out early and my KU bracket was shot on Friday.

On a different note, 64 degrees in KC on Saturday and a high of 34 on Sunday - over 100 wrecks caused by the ice / sleet that fell beginning about 1pm Sunday afternoon.

We had 4 Masses for Easter with both the sanctuary and lower level in use.  At all 4 Masses it was SRO.  Our priest, MSGR Tom Tank told everyone how great it was to see everyone and he was looking forward to seeing us all next Sunday.  That got a lot of laughs from the CrEasters.  I think almost all of the 3,400 families in our parish actually came to a Mass.

I hope everyone had a safe and Happy Easter!  These Crack Me Up!

          I love the facial  expressions!
