Merry Christmas to you all! Below is what Christmas at my house looks like for those of you that did not get a white Christmas. The snow came on Christmas Eve and looks as if it will be with us a while. Santa accepted my invitation to stop by after work last night. He needed a little cheer after his long night. Have a great day.

Thanks Marvin. Looks like you have nice perch. Might be a little chilly if you live in central Illinois. Santa appears to be very happy! Was it the cookies or maybe a sip from the old jug?

I hope that you are enjoying a wonderful Christmas.

Continuing the postings of treasures shared by Gail, while a few days late for Christmas, I wanted to get this poem by Barbie Read out next.

The next guest of honor from Gail's Washington School 4th grade photo album (there about 20 more to post) is Jane Wettaw.

If anyone has their "My School Friends and Classmates" photo album please let me know and we can try to include some of the pics from your album in these posts for all to see. Below is what the cover looks like.

Marvin, are we being tracked? I'm a true blue, bleeding heart liberal. I thought that electing Trump was as far down to the bottom of the barrel that we could possibly go. Shows what I know. It's good to know that all of our information is being used to protect us from those boogie men and that we have nothing to fear. I think that I'll post all of my debit card information and bank accounts. "Freedom ain't free!"

Mike - No one is being tracked and no personal info is publicly accessible on this website outside of whatever is posted on the Message Forum. As one of the site admins I have access to some usage history that I thought might be interesting to share. Otherwise no one pays attention. Hopefully none of us are in a witness protection program or wanted by the FBI.

Thought that I might share this. Everything we shared this Christmas was packaged in styrofoam. Now that all of the excitement is over, it's time to clean up the mess. Just try to pick that crap up! It sticks to EVERYTHING and it will screw up your vacuum sweeper. Here goes.Sweep it with a straw broom into small piles. Forget a dust pan. (sticks to it) Use some really cheap duct tape. Pat the tape on the pile. When the tape is saturated throw it in a paper sack and repeat until the mess is cleaned up. Use cheap tape because it will be wasted. Recycle the paper bags. Carpet looks good and my cleaning lady will love the fact that I didn't leave a mess for her!

I tried every home remedy on Googgle and YouTube, none of it worked. Had an old role of duct tape and thought "What the hell, go for it!" Had that crap cleaned up in 5 minutes. I'm really into recycle. Styrofoam can't be recycled. (China's revenge!)

                       Happy New Year

Happy New Year to all!

Mike: You mentioned China's revenge: plastic packing styrofoam!

I always listen for what China-made things have in them.  A few years ago, little girls jewelry had paint on them that were poisonous to children.

This year little girls' jewelry had adbestos in it.

Also from a few years ago, we found that dry wall made in China was making U.S. sick.  Some of our standard toothpaste brands had plastic in it at that time also.

What the hell?

I hope 2018 is good to everyone!

Love to all, Linda

Linda, as you know it has been brutally cold here in B/N. I looked at real estate in the El Paso area (Zillow). 2 questions......What do you think is a desireable location? Why do most homes have a security fence, is crime that bad? Looking at $130,000-$150,000 price range. Checked New Mexico, but the crime scares me. I've been to EP, so I do know the the geography.

Mike:

79912 on the west side is best.  Not as busy as the East side.

$130 to $150's should be attailnable without any problem.

Good luck.  If you need help finding anything of interest, just let me know.

I'm still trying to sell mine so that I can move.  If I don't find what I want, then I'm goint to build.

Blessings to you in the new year!

Linda

Mike:

You know, I just might know of a house that you would be interested in.

It is in Fiesta Hills just off of Mardi Gras..........I think it is on Circus Lane.  It is 4 bedroom 1 full bath, a 3/4 bath in the master bedroom, and a 3/4 back in the maid's room, I believe.  2 car garage and bars on all doors and windows.

Floors have all been tiled and is upkept very well.  Not sure about the air conditioning set up, style, nor the heater.

They have dropped it down to $125,000.  I'd bet that you could get it between $115,000 and $120,000.   All yards have a privacy wall deliniating the property edge.  Bars keep out anyone wanting to get in.  I have had them on every home in the last 56 years.  All homes do not have them.   If they don't, they make it easier to be robbed.  El Paso has not been depicted as one of the top 10 safest cities in the US.

Good luck!

Linda

Boo:

Thanks for the photo.  Nice to see your new house and see what your taste is!  It looks beautiful.  How sweet with 'Ma and Pa' in the doorway without a pitchfork!

I bet that the grandkids are really getting tall by now.  Looking forward to seeing them when you can add the photo.

Happy New Year to you and Dave!

Love ya, Linda

Linda, checked out Circus Ln. on Google maps. I like it. West of Franklin Mts. Of course everything east is Ft. Bliss. I could handle 365 days of sunshine. Might miss my yard, but I'm looking. Thanks!

Dear classmates, I'm asking for prayers for Dave Coit and his companion Beckie.  She is in ICU in a coma fighting for her life.  Dave lost his wife to that dreadful disease breast cancer in 2004.  So if you can say some prayers for Beckie and Dave I'm sure they would appreciate it.

Prayers to Dave and Beckie

Suz

Dave just posted on Facebook that his great love had passed away.  Thinking of you Dave.

How tragic for Dave. So sorry to hear that. Prayers are with him.

David Coit:  So sorry to hear of your sorrow!   May she rest in peace!

Mike Franks:  Yard........There is a decent yard with that house.  Plenty of people of gardens here.  During the extreme heat of the summer they often use a bit of cheesecloth to protect the plants of a garden.

I suppose that you would need to get your daughter and grandchildren to move here too!

Good luck!
