Well my klutzy body has struck again.  We went to football game yesterday at east side in East Peoria.  After the game we were leaving and I went down a ramp which was uneven with the sidewalk.  Well I fell and now I'm on crutches which I can't use, so Dave went and bought me a walker.

We leave Wednesday for Laughlin and there is no way I can walk around with out some kind of aid.  so both my ankles look like they have eggs in them.  Plus just below my right knee is swollen and sore.

So sorry to hear about your tumble!  Not too much fun to not be able to walk well.   I'm so sorry that you have to have this experience.  Just keep trying.  There is no alternative other that not giving in.  I pray that you won't need surgery.

Allida, thank you.  Dave bought me a walker that you can sit down on.  Plus my nephew and his wife are bringing a wheelchair in case I need it.

Hi Everyone,

Happy Birthday and Belated Happy Birthday to all those I've missed.  2 weeks post surgery and all is well.  Of the 14 surgeries, this is definitely the most painful.  I was stuck in the hospital an extra few days trying to get the meds under control - hallucinations, double vision, et al - would have been a trip if I was 20, but a little disconcerting when the nurse giving you the meds has 3 eyes and 4 nostrils.  I have graduated from walker to cane and PT.  Will be putting off foot surgery until after Christmas.

Thank You all for the prayers and good wishes.  Please know that you are in my thoughts and prayers as well.

I think that I may have dated that nurse? The 3 eyes sound familiar. Not sure about the nostrils, but how bad can that be? Great idea to wait on the foot cutting. Tape it up real good and use an ACE bandage. You'll be able to rock&roll at the Christmas dances. I'm sure that you'll walking  without aid, very soon. I might recomend that you steer clear of your rollerblades for a few more weeks.

Seriously.....Always remember to acknowledge the loving care that your bride has given you. Remind her how much you love her and thank her for being your partner. (Hugs are pretty good too!)
