Thank you Linda, I will.

love you too.

Thanks Mr. Ed and Max and everyone else.  Keep those prayers flowing and not just for me but for anyone who is dealing with health issues.

Here's an up date on the Bloomington Raiders cheerleading competition  team.  Bloomington won Big 12 last weekend which made four first places this year.  They go to  sectionals this weekend.  If they place in the top three than they go to state here in town which is the following weekend.  It's really  discouraging because the Pantagraph  gives them no coverage.  A lot of people don't  consider this a sport but it is.  I'm on a mission because these kids work very hard from July till February, and yes there are boys on some of the teams.  Bloomington has one boy who is very good.  Uhigh has  several so they are considered coed team.

Bloomington/Normal have the best teams in the big 12 placing 1st, 2nd and 3rd.

Anyway that's my mission and I'm sticking with it and Randy Kindred can go to h---!

On a brighter note have a good week everyone and I love you all!!!!

Suz

Thanks Allida.  Hugs to you.

Sorry everyone for venting, I wasn't venting against anyone in our class, I just wish Bloom/Nor media would wake up.

As far as my health issues I feel like I take one step forward and two back.

Today it is 35 and sunny here.  Beautiful day!   Was outside and didn't need a jacket.

However tomorrow is a different story...  We are in either the 8" to 12" range or the 10" to 20" range depending on which weather forecaster you listen to.  Also calling for 30 mph winds which will cause major drifting.  I'll be in the house, watching it develop, either way.  Snowblower is full of gas and ready to go.  Welcome to Wisconsin!

Here I don't have any preparations to do to the house before winter.  We do turn on the heat!

Strange though isn't it?

Linda, snow in El Paso?  Do you live in the mountians?

I remember that they used to brag every morning on the radio about "Another day of Sunshine!" Of course it did get really cold at night in the desert, but it would recover during the day.

Max, what part of Wisconsin do you live in? I thought you guys just bundled up and liked that crap. Oh well, this summer you can tell us all about those mosquitoes! Isn't that your state bird?

Mike...

I live about 35 miles west of Madison.  Spring Green is in the southwest corner of the state.  Some winters we get a lot of snow and some others, not so much.

Yes, the state bird of WI is the mosquito.  Spring Green is on the Wisconsin River, so in early spring when all of the snow melts and the river is high, it floods the lower ground.  That makes for a perfect bed to breed the little monsters!

Mosquitoes, snow, and road construction are 3 of our seasons.  I guess visitors to Frank Lloyd Wright's Taliesin and the House on the Rock is the 4th.

So-I mentioned that the Pope is coming to Juarez, MX on Feb. 17.   A girl, with whom I work, was selected to sing for the Pope, when he visits the prison, to wash the feet of the inmates.  She had not even signed up to be considered for a performance.  Someone who has seen her perform---suggested that she get the part.  She is elated and extremely honored.

She is a divorced single mother just trying to get through each day at a time.  She is so thrilled.  I told her that I would get her autograph now before she won't speak to us anymore!  I sure wish her well!

I just finished reading a novel about a bookstore, and it reminded me of a small used bookstore on W. Jefferson close to the YWCA.  Does anybody remember the name of it?  It was a delightful little place, but my random access memory is failing me.  Thanks for your help!

Patty, it was Putnam's Books. Glad you remembered and may the 'shoures soote' be with you.

If anyone is interested, there is a great B/N FB page which has over 5,000 members who are always posting new info. It's a great source for photos and questions regarding B/N history. If you go to the link below you'll be able to take a look and even ask to become a member. I designed the masthead and have loved following it, even though it sometimes gets out of hand like all social media does at times. Milan Jackson is a constant contributor and I pop in and out of it now and then. Give it a try. It'll bring back lots of memories. That's where I found the answer to Patty's question.
