Hi everyone:

I suppose you heard about the list of meat not to eat this week because it is cancer causing.

I'm giving you a list to help or counter-act that because I AM going to have bacon at least once per week:

Cancer Killing agents in the following foods:

1-Turmeric

2-Sea Vegetables: Nori, Kelp

3-Grapes and Resveratrol

4-(from Korea) Chlorella and Spirulina

5-Green Tea

6-Cruciferous Vegetables: Arugula, broccoli, cabbage, cauliflower, kale, turnips, and collard greens

7-Tomatoes

8-Medicinal mushrooms (from China)-Shitake

9-Garlic

10-Hemp Oil

Good luck to all of us!

Linda

Mel: Your daughter's little family is precious!

Jack:  Thanks for the photo of Park Hill Cemetary at moonrise.  My dad is buried out there.

Ernie:  Thank you for the class photo.  I always thought that I remembered everyone in the class.   You proved me wrong.  I didn't remember the face nor name of Paul.  What was his last name?  Also, can I get a copy of that photo next summer when I come home?

Blessings to you all!

Linda

Linda --

The Paul in Ernie's class composite (priceless, isn't it!) is Paul Todd. His nickname was Butch. They lived across the street from the school in a house at Jefferson and Towanda. The back yard went all the way to Washington Street. They moved to Shelbina, Missouri after 4th grade, I think.

The moonrise picture was a happenstance on our fall colors drive sunday. Thanks for taking a look.

Regards -- Jack

Jack: great photos...my favorite is still the fireworks over the MP footbridge.

Linda: I totally agree...now I understand all those other grandparents.

Ernie's photo: wow, what a group...for those who don't know, Jean Holcomb (my nextdoor neighbor when this photo was taken) contracted West Nile Virus a couple of years ago and has made a near miraculous recovery. She now resides at Westminster and is as "sassy and classy" (my choice of words) as ever.

Paul Hansen: so happy to see your update...best wishes to you and Susan. I'm guessing you're still singing as beautifully as ever.

Suzi, my fondest memory of you, dates back to a day in Mr. Whitlow's English class. You had lost a contact lens, and the whole class was looking for it!  Actually I think the guy's where looking up the girl's skirts? (especially Roger Cox)  Now why would I rember that?

I'm aware of the health issues that you are facing and I know that our classmates are supporting you with prayers and love. That would certainly includes me!

I wish you well. I always look forward to your posts, on our site.

Jack:

Do you know if we can still find classroom photos from the Bloomington School District like Ernie posted?

I would love to get 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade PIX from Washington Elementary.

Next time I am home, I think I'll go visit with Mrs. Holcomb.  I'll have to find something she can really use out there in order to take a gift.  If you have any ideas, please let me know.

Maybe a few of us from our class could go?????   Just thinking out loud......(me and Ed Sheeran).

Love ya, Linda

Well I'm still here.LOL.  I'm waiting to hear if Medicare is covering my BRCA test.  I will be surprised if I don't have the gene.  Not sure when my surgery will be.  Sounds like I will meet with the surgeon and go over everything.  It's such a waiting game.

I hope I will get to go to the Class dinner at Tony Roma's on the 21st.  I hope we have a good turn out.

love you guys and thank you all for the prayers for me and Pam.

Don't forget to get those Mammograms.

Suz

I can't recall any other years they took our photos. One of these winter nights I will dive into my old stuff and see if I come uip with anything. Do you remember other years when they took student pix? Marvin and Judy might have better ideas then me re gifts for Mrs. Holcomb.

Suzi. you're a great sport!

Back in the day, the H.S. boy's all had their heads between their legs. I suppose that everyone's hormones wre running wild back then. It was a fun time!  Now, my major concern is whether or not my S.S, check gets posted in the bank. I HATE GETTING OLD!

I'm thinking of you, and of all of our classmates. I wish you the best in health, in love, and with your family. Prayers never cease. '64 was the greatest class to ever grace the halls of BHS! I'm proud that we were a part of it.
