Dorothy & I are planning on driving in on Friday. I'm looking forward to making it to my first reunion. I expect everyone will look the same after 48 years.

There is a good chance that there will be no obituary for Bob Singletary.

I think it was a family decision, Ed. I am in contact with his sister about it. I am trying.

So sorry to hear about Bob Singletary.  He was so talented.  My mother purchased two of his sketches, one is in charcoal of Old Main at ISU and the other is kind of bizarre, not sure what the name of that is.

Thank you Milan for the Birthday wishes but it is posted the 13th and my birthday is today the 14th.  Just don't want you to make me any older than I am.  Ha Ha!!!

The combined new 84 Reunion pics and the old 94 Reunion pics disappeared on this format last night.  That album remains intact on Photobucket though, and we'll try to work it back in.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY JUDY....really, not to defend Milan, but you probably look just as good today as you did yesterday. :-)

Linda, in case you didn't know, you can click on the attached photos on this site and drag to your computer window to save.

Holly, I still remember those coffee "tree" drawings of Bob's. They were among his first really great stuff. Your mom was very astute and you are so lucky to have them. Any chance you might be able to photograph and post them. It would be fun to see them after all these years.

Milan, like others, I would like to call Bonnie. Can you share her phone number? Or, let her know several of us want to know how she is doing? She was really terrific in HS and I'm sure she still is. I have a few old photos of her in art class if I can find them.

Ed and others, looking forward to seeing you on Saturday. Can't wait to see that buff new physique. Guess the cigars and Makers Mark will be on hold, huh?

Thought you find this intereting as well as entertaining.

Wow! I've seen this with the letters out of order, but this is the first time I've seen it with numbers. Good example of a Brain Study: If you can read this OUT LOUD you have a strong mind. And better than that: Alzheimer's is a long, long, way down the road before it ever gets anywhere near you.

OK, the 84 Reunion pictures were loaded in with the 94 Reunion and they are up again.  They are terrific and I wish we had more.  People look like they're 13.  There are a couple of more pics to load for 84.

The 84 pre-Reunion was at the old HoJo's, and the main Reunion at Lakeside.  One of the best we've had.

I was sorry to hear about Bob.  I didn't know Ron or Sandy that well but Connie and Bob were good friends of mine from 6th grade on through high school.  All of them were gone too soon.

Thanks Victor!  I really enjoy puzzles like that and it is amazing how quickly one's mind adapts.

Mel, I will try to get pictures of my paintings and post them.  Good idea.

Sandra Jeakins (Singletary Sizemore)

Milan, thanks for posting that article about Bob Singletary.  It was good to read about him.  Sandy, Bob's sister said there wouldn't be anything in The Pantagraph, but she sent a nice letter and e-mail to people. -- And at  the end of that article-there was information about Mr & Mrs Lowell Gregory-who were my cousins.  So it was doubly nice-if that's a word. Ha

Regina (Sue) Petersen (Koppenhoefer)

I thought some of your might be interested in seeing Bobby Singletary's first oil painting.  Our Mother's went to grade school together, and we were often invited to the Singletarys' home to watch Bonanza on Sunday evenings, I believe.  They were one of the first families to own a color television (that we knew of, anyway).  I was very intrigued with his art work, and he gave me this picture.  I wished Bobby a happy birthday a few years ago on this message board and received a very nice reply.  He asked for a picture of this painting and said he wanted to send it to some others.  He said it is titled "Cottage in the Woods" and is on art board.  I wanted to send it back to him so he could  pass it on to his family, but he wanted me to keep it.  I don't know if you can see the date on it, but it is 1959....already very talented!  Rest in Peace, Bobby.

Sue, the picture that you shared with all of us means so very much to the Class of 64'. One would think it may carry value since it was Bobbys first painting! He was always very talented and we're proud to say we walked this life with him! Bobby, you WILL ALWAYS BE REMEMBERED as a SPECIAL ARTIST!

This is probably out of line for me but here goes. There is no money to post an obituary in the Pantagraph. If the class is interested in donating, the cost is $70. Do to some family history, and there are some good reasons, they aren't putting out the money. So if you are interested, send donations to Steve Jetton. I can understand if you aren't interested. This can't be taken from the class treasury. So it's up to the Class of 1964.
