Glad to hear Dave is doing well!!!!!   I agree with Judy; how are you?

Next week I turn 66.   I measured my hips today to make sure the number there doesn't match my age!

Blessings to you both!

Love ya, Linda

I checked my list and she wasn't on it.   Went to my Aegis and she wasn't in the class photos.  Looked in the index and that name was not listed.

She was born in 1946 and I remember going to Washington Jr. High with her brother, Terry. But I don't know when they left.

She was born March 7, 1946, in Bloomington, daughter of Henry and Alma Crump Lauterberg. She has enjoyed 41 years of marriage to her partner in life, Roger N. Dahl.

Surviving are her husband of Bloomington; two daughters, Kim Swarts, Decatur, and Stacey (David) Vandegraft, Bloomington; five grandchildren, Brittany Dudley, Jennifer (Tyler) McGee, Jessica Vandegraft, Travis Dudley and Bethany Vandegraft; three great-grandchildren; and one brother, Terry Lauterberg, Heyworth.

Helen and Ed:

Thanks again for the Kresge and the Big Boy strawberry pie for my search.  I prepared 4 of each and they went over well with the crowd!

In the meantime, Borden's has a lemon pie recipe that I added strawberries to and it was the best I have ever tasted.

Hope all is well with you and everyone else!

Love ya, Linda

Would someone please fill me in on the accidents our classmates have had?  Trying to read through all the messages but it would be nice for someone to summarize in one message who, and what!   Glad to hear that all of you on the Forum are betting, traveling and losing weight!  I am definitely with all of you in losing weight department.  Started to creep up this year!

Boo, somebody else will have to tell you about the motorcycle accidents, but you're definately on with your challenge...........provided we can hammer out the details:)

Dave Coit had a terrible motorcycle accident involving only him on Mother's Day on his way to the cemetary to place a rose on his Mother's and wifes grave. He never made it breaking his collar bone, 4 ribs and crushing his shoulder. Recovery will take a year or more with the assistance of his girl friend.

Diane Shaefer Troxel and husband were also in a motorcycle accident and experiencing a slow recovery. Don't know all those details, but did receive a message stating that they are slowly getting better.

Judy Walker was in a bad motorcycle accident on May 18, leaving her with a serious brain concussion, broken fingers and right hand, broken back and additional injuries! She may still be hospitalized. If anyone knows an update we're very concerned for her.

Suzi Denton Merritt's husband is in remission from Cancer! Prayers continue for everyone experiencing parents passings and health issues!

Accidents, health, weight gain and now another death leaves us all sad and concerned! We need your CHEER Boo! GO RAIDERS! Keep hangin' in there! Class of 64 sticks together. Keep on traveling, watching the horse races, enjoying your families and living life to its fullest! None of us know what tomorrow will bring so "LIVE IT UP"! Quoted by Sue Ermantraut, "We only live once, but if we do it right once is enough!"

Hope this brings you up to speed on things going on with all of us!

Sorry to hear about Daryl Beer.  I knew him, but not real well.

Jack, I still haven't seen the fight, but everyone I talk to says the same thing as you.  Pac got the shaft.  Not seeing the fight, I don't know about the desire part.  I think maybe he is reaching a point where his mind makes a decision his body can't handle.  Everyone reaches that point you know.  I can't run as fast or as far, jump as high or as long, hit a baseball as good, or bend over to catch.  It just doesn't happen like it used to, but, I can still pitch a wiffle as well as when I was 14.  That's right, that's right.  I think.

Rod,

Yesterday, all three judges on the WBO review board scored it 117-111 (9-3) for Pac.  The AP had it 118-110 (10-2) for Pac.  The WBO does not have the mechanism to overturn a decision, and Pac does not want that.  He doesn’t want to usurp the decision, and just wants a quick rematch.  Not to worry, he says, he’ll get the title back.  I think you can call your bookie on that one.

As for you whiffle ball expertise, I believe you and all……but I still want to see it ….trust but verify.

Bad Bad Fires in Manitou Springs, CO! We've received notice from the Police Department that if fires reach the water tank we will need to evacuate. We can see the surging flames from our front yard! We're packed with necessities and ready to evacuate should we receive the call! Prayers are appreciated!

Helen, I just read in the newspaper about the evacuation of Manitou. If you are able to get this, know that all of us are hoping you are safely out of the smoke and fire zone. If there is anything we can do, please let us know. I have air miles with British Air that can be used on American which could be used to fly you back here until this passes. If you need help of any kind, please let us know. I'm sure there are many who will be able to offer support. Please let us know how you are, where you are and what we can do to help!!!

If there is anything I can do, my phone is 312.786.0424. Use it, even if you just want to talk.

FYI, Helen just called...she and Tommy are doing fine and getting back into their house. For now the danger has passed, the evacuation has been lifted and their home many have suffered some smoke damage. They are smelling some residue from the fire retardants, but no one they know of has lost their homes. She sounded very positive and knows we are all thinking of her.

By the way Helen, in the angst of our call, I totally forgot to wish you a HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!
