OK Ed, you are a good father...a little wealth doesn't hurt either. In fact it is practically mandatory in this economy.

Ed, you and Malinda ARE in our prayers!  They say you're only given what you can handle!  It's quite apparent that you're both very strong people!  Hang in there knowing we're all cheering for you guys!  I'm so happy you had a great Christmas, but are certain that you and your family also included Malinda in your celebration even though she wasn't physically able to join all of you!  God's speed and Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

Helen,

I may have been unclear... Malinda did not go to dinner with us, but she was home when we got back... She was very much in the rest of the evening until her normal bedtime of 9:30

I know I'll be corrected, but that car on the far left is a 1960 Buick. One tail light. BIG fin! Great pic, very COLD day.

Michael (Mike) Franks

It appears that the license plate on that Buick, is Illinois 1962.  Someone out there help me out!

Marilyn Evans (Tate)

You are right Mike.

Must have been a Buick day at Hubbards. Looks like a couple of 55's or maybe a 55 and a 56 in there too.

Happy Birthday John Burmaster !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Michael (Mike) Franks

Thanks for checking that out Marilyn. I was sure that there were some "car-guys/girls" out there.  Remember when we could afford a car? Now they cost more than my first house. Yeah, it does look like there are a few Buicks in that snow. They were some big old land cruisers.

Milan, thanks for that picture. I've had some fun trying to ID those "old rides". L-R, an old Dodge(53?), '58 Chevy, Pontiac('59?), '56 buick, '55 Buick, '57 Ford. Let's see what others might think they are. My old pal Lane would know.

Hey Sue, sorry I missed your Birthday!  Hope you had a WONDERFUL Birthday yesterday.  We were traveling, however FINALLY made it to Gulf Shores, AL.  It's currenttly in the 70's and partly cloudy, but much nicer than Colorado when we left on the 26th, but Colorado can be in the 70's during the winter also!  Happy New Year to the Class of 64!

Wow!  We are about to enter another year.  I don't know what happened to this one...seems like we were just doing this a couple of weeks ago.  2011 has been a great year as I have reconnected with so many of you!  I want to wish each and everyone of you a wonderful New Year filled with good health, good times, and good friends!

Holly,

You left a dangling f, which I assume is meant as a carryover or head start for your next year's posts.

I'm also assuming the f stands for friends.

I came in here to help where I could. What I came away with was many more friends. I want to thank all who have made this a special site. Be proud and keep it that way. To the Class of 1964, Happy New Year !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

NEW YEAR!  May members from the Class of 64 and their families stay Happy, Healthy, and Live Life as Though It IS something we are all Grateful For! Time passes too fast to waste time!  Where have the years gone?

Terry (Max) Maxwell

Hello everyone...  Hope you all had a good Christmas and New Year's.  Have been gone for a few days and just checking back in.

Mike...  At the risk of being wrong. as I usually am, I'm thinking that Buick on the left is a '59, not a '60.  I think the '60 has a longer horizontal tail light with not near as much fin.

Max

Thanks for that observation Max. You're probably right. I think that the really cool thing, is that we can remember those old days and re-live those memories. I always look forward to reading your comments.

Rodney (Rod) Hayes

Happy New Year to eeryone!!!!

Hey Mike, How right you are about that car pricing.  I still have the sticker off my spanking brand new "66" Mustang.  It was absolutely loaded.  The whole cost of that car might make a down payment today.   And just think, you only had 3 years to pay for it.  Now you can finance a car for life.

SIDE NOTE:  All you Pac 10, Pac 12, or whatever they call themselves now days.  The Bowl games haven't been too good for you so far.  However, you have two more chances.  Don't be surprised if those don't work out for you either.  The Illinois - UCLA game was great to watch.  There is just nothing like watching two teams, who have both fired their Head coaches, have a combined losing record, (12-13), play each other for absolutely nothing.

Rod, out of curiosity, dare I ask how much the '66' Mustang sold for on the sticker?  We paid $1800 for a brand new'68' VW in '68".  That was the first year the Victor Prgramable Calculator was sold at Pantagraph Printing and Sationary, which had several volumes of Program Instruction Books and several Mag Cards that went with it. I worked at Pantagraph Printing and Stationery, when that Victor Calculator was introduced and one of the first marketable calculators in 1968.  It was a big deal at that time!
