Gerald (Jerry) Plummer

Being careful not to use this forum for political commentary on the state of California's internal dysfunction, clearly the pictures of Arnold reveal:

1. He's no longer in condition to refer to the Democratic members of the Assembly as "Girly Men"

2. What happens when Maria takes half your cash.

3. Why the state should be split just north of Fresno.

Cheryl, you once said the person on the right was Gloria Brown at '94 reunion.  I said no.  I asked John Brown and he said "that's Gloria Brown".  I asked "do you need your readers?"  "No" he responded, "that's Gloria Brown".  I'm still not sure either of you is right, but at your new age, it's time to show a little respect, so I went ahead and changed the tagging.  Unfortunately, neither one of them is with us anymore.

Thanks Marilyn, and unfortunately, you're right, a lot of us are headed that direction.  All except that part about plenty of money.  Think how Arnold must feel.  It used to be that no one could stand in for him, and now, hundreds of men can stand in for him  I see you are kind of a Rt. 66 Fan.  I remember when I was about 15, I went on vacation with my parents.  We went all the way to Ca. from Bloomington on Rt. 66.  At the time I was only interested in getting to Disneyland and a few other things I wanted to see.  Now I reallize I went on this Historic trip.  Now that time has passed, I look at old pics and remember a lot of things I saw and did.  I guess there are only a few places remaining where you can actually drive on the old 66.  Progress, so they say.

Jack,

Great picture of the four guys.  I noticed three things about that pic right away.  I recognized the guy on the far left.  He was in the original movie, Night of The Living Dead.  The guy with the tube around him must have decided to drip dry, since he has no towel, and the guy second from the right.  He is the only one 'Stylin'.  He screams, Let's hit the Beach, with loafers and those cool socks.

Jack, I don't know why you are being so stubborn?  At my new age, some things are clearer than ever and that is definitely Gloria Brown.  Glad you could entertain Rod Hayes with photos of my ex-boyfriends!!!!  LOL

Cheryl, I was just going to tell Rod that you know a lot more about these guys than I do....I'm just the messenger.

In looking at the picture again though, and even though I'm still not sure about Gloria, I will have to say that you showed a lot of foresight in reversing yourself and going for younger.

Rodney (Rod) Hayes

C'mon Cheryl, I didn't really know you until H/S, but I'm pretty sure none of those guys would have been your ex-boyfriend.  I'm not sure they would have been anybodies ex-boyfriend.  And now at your New Age, look at them - look at you, no, not gonna happen.  But, the picture was quite entertaining.  Jack has a knack for entertaining pics.

You are right Rod.  None of those guys would have ever even been a thought in my mind.  I did go through a lot of "toads" but nothing like in the picture!  Jack likes messing with me and I do get him back occasionally.

Jack,

Cheryl is right -- that is Gloria. I'm positive about it. She was a very good friend of mine.

OK, OK.....I don't give up easily, but I know when I'm beat 3-1.

Jack,
It takes a big man to admit when he is wrong. I applaud you.

Plaudits for the self-admission of my faults accepted Sue, but if you now try to tell me that that's Patti Miller standing in the middle, we'd have a whole new controversy wouldn't we?

Not going to argue that one Jack. I know the back row is Wendy, Gloria, and John; however, I can not name the other people in the front row seated beside you.

Doris Harris and David Gaston.

YEAH JACK!  You did it, you did it!  Good job!  A container of milk, a loaf of bread and a stick of butter! Now, can you remember what show that was on?

Regina (Sue) Petersen (Koppenhoefer)

Thanks Jack. I should have recognized Doris--she hasn't really changed much at all.

No Helen, you got me on that one.

OK Jack, you must not have watched Sesame Street like our kids did daily!  Our son even learned how to tie his shoes on Sesame Street!

It was called "Sese" around here, and I must admit I never watched a full program.  I always got a kick out of how a boring guy with a sweater, Mr. Rogers (not boring at all in his regular life), had the kids riveted.

Our son did a cute presentation on Mr. Rodgers in High School Speech Class.  He came in with the sweater, as you can imagine, put his tennis shoes on, and sang, "It's a beautiful day in the neighborhood, a beautiful day in the neighborhood, won't you be mine, won't you be mine, won't you be my neighbor!  Good Morning boys and girls"!  Cute show starting in Champaign, Illinois in the late 60's with Snuffulupagas the elephant, Ernie, Cookie Monster, Bert, and who can name the rest of the characters?

Quiet Time with Mr. Rogers?

09/18/11 06:52 PM #1929

 SHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!  Don't wake Mr. Rodgers!
