I plan to be in Bloomington for the 6th.  Although keep your fingers crossed another one of my single kids doesn't need surgery that week! In June, I spent 10 days in CT with one for surgery and 9 days in Portland with another for surgery!

I will plan on making it Aug 6 if I am here.  I don't care where. I like Gill St fine but if nobody else does, c'est la vie.   Elaine and I plan to make a spur of the moment road trip before long,  so that will be my excuse if you do not see me.

 The Class of 1964 needs a social director or committee. Someone to make plans and make reservations. And someone who is tough enough to endure the complaints of planning it at a place that doesn't satisfy everyone. When it comes down to it, it isn't the place of the get together, it is the get together. I am happy to help this site where I can but this isn't where my help belongs. I quit drinking because of medications I am on. I am also on a diet. So unless you want to have a party at Weight Watchers, someone else needs to take charge. I get enough heat from the Class of 1963. (laugh)

 Milan, frankly it might not be a bad suggestion to consider gathering at Weight Watchers since none of us weigh what we use to?????? HOWEVER there are those more fortunate than the majority of us that have a FABULOUS METABOLISM that need not even consider dieting!!!! How lucky can anyone be!!!!!  Ha Ha! BUT this really isn't a funny matter!

June 9, 1961: It took one kind of lion to bail out another. The Bloomington Lions Club gave $200 to the fund for the new mountain lion cubs at Miller Park Zoo. Another donation - $100 from BHS art teacher Elizabeth Stein - put the $400 fund drive over the top.

 Sorry Suzi, I missed that one. Harriet Schad, Gary's mother, died Sunday. She was 88. God bless the Schad family. So many of our parents have gone, so few are left. Take time to tell your's that you love them while you have the time.

 The whole idea of August 6 was to see old friends from out of state. Now we realize that Monday August 8 works better for all concerned. I think we need to plan it on August 8. Holly, Terri, and Julie are all available on that date.
