Nice to see Rod, Wendy and Nancy joining the "posting folks". Beautiful flowering plant Wendy. Nancy - Very nice painting of the eagle. The reconnection with your 100 year old friend is very special. I have had a few times in my life that I have reconnected with people in my distant past (including our HS classmates) and it is always so great to know they are well and to be able to share memories as well as catching up with where life has taken them. For those that have trouble getting their photos upright, I use Windows Paint to fix them. If you need help, let me know and I will gladly help you figure out how to do it. Or, I will fix it after you post it when I am able to get a chance.
As Mel pointed out, I just arrived home Thursday after a three month trip to Texas and Florida Keys so I have been playing catch up on all the things that I fell behind on. I spent a large part of yesterday removing the winter wrappings for the Tiki Bar, power washing it and reinstalling the motor and batteries. Also picked up the abundance of sticks that drop from the trees every winter. A stick burning in the fire pit is in my near future.
One my visits on the way home from Florida was with my brother in Tennessee. He has a collection of antique stuff and with the recent postings of "do you remember" I took the photo below that will bring back memories for anyone in our generation.

On my drive home from the Florida Keys, I was able to watch two Space X Falcon 9 launches on March 31, one a manned launch. Amazing to watch. During a visit to Kennedy Space Center, I experienced a "ride" in a launch simulator. It went through a launch sequence countdown and, short of G-force, provided all of the sound and vibrations astronauts feel and hear in a real launch. Very cool experience. The Atlantis shuttle has a building dedicated to it and is mind boggling to see how big it is and to realize it flew 33 of the 153 shuttle missions by the five shuttles in service. The payload bay is huge. Seeing it helps to realize the importance the shuttle program played in building the International Space Station. Makes me wonder how that kind of program could ever be afforded again in the future to build anykind of living facility in space.

A couple of photos at the Georgia Aquarium in Atlanta.

Have driven through Chattanooga, TN many times, I finally took time to stop at Rock City (actually in Georgia) on Lookout Mountain. It has trails that pass through deep narrow crevices and take you to a breathtaking view of Chattanooga. Well worth the time if you are ever in the area.

A final point to add to the recent humor others have shared. Feels more accurate every day.
