Jack:

Does the time change tonight or next week?

Linda

Time Change is nextweekend--Nov. 2/3--depending on the time you change the clock or whether you have a more modern time piece that adjusts automatically.  By the way--Set the clocks BACK so that you get an extra hour of sleep.

Linda and other classmates -- Dave Brock is right, we set our clocks back one hour on Noverember 3, or more likely when we retire on the night of November 2.

It's also a good time to replace your furnace filters and smoke alarm batteries.

With HALLOWEEN around the corner.... Let's see a good number of pictures of the grandkids and great grandkids in their costumes‼️

Melvin (Mel) Theobald

I probably should have asked Marv's permission to post this, but I can't resist. His Halloween costume is the "grooviest" thing I've ever seen. I'm pretty sure he was on an LSD trip.

A word of encouragement--Next week includes Tuesday, which is Election Day.  I know we all have our favoite candidate and ballot issue, but we need to get out and vote.  If you don't vote, you can't complain about the results.  If you have the opportunity to vote early, that's good--just take the time to vote.

Melvin (Mel) Theobald

Jim Rookus, following your invitation, this is my granddaughter in costume. She and I have a long history of doing "stare downs." This is the latest addition to our collection. Also, her costume and my annual pumpkin painting. ANY ONE ELSE?

And, I second Dave Brock's motion...get out and vote on Tuesday. Hoping to see some of you at BHS with Jack Keefe on Saturday. Then there is the clock thing. Think about it...we'll all be one hour younger that night (or is it older?).

Jim R,

Do you think your Halloween Queen would like to meet my Captian

Kirk?

Pictures blurred out to erase non family students.

Dave Long .... how technology brilliant are you to be able to erase the rest of the photo!  Maybe we could do an arranged marriage or at least going steady to test it BUT could grandpa afford the huge dowry for the 5 yr old queen ?

I just received this reply from Ray Bledsoe regarding his dear wife Jan.

He said I can post this for ya'll so you keep updated of their journey.

Thoughts and Prayers 🙏 appreciated!

Jim, Thanks for reaching out, it is greatly appreciated. My wife, Jen, is still hanging in there but declining. Her system is starting to shut down but it can still be weeks. The Hospice folks have been great. I realize an organization is only as good as the folks in them and the group here is wonderful. I recommend them to anyone near end of life. Our church family couldn't possibly do any more for which I am thankful. Bless you for caring, Ray. (You are welcome to post this if you wish.)

How is everything in Colorado ?

Jim R,

I don't believe that this grandpa could afford the required dowery.  Her parents will need to set their sights much higher.

As far as mastery of photo shop - if you'll look closely, I did mess up a couple of things ie:  Captian Kirk is missing a hand and, well in the shadow you can almost make out the little girl that was walking with him.

WARNING - WARNING - WARNING - BRAGGING!

FAVORITE OLDEST GRANDSON FINISHED 10TH IN CROSS COUNTRY OF ALL THE 5TH GRADE BOYS IN THE CPS (CHICAGO PUBLIC SCHOOLS) FINALS TODAY!

HE ALSO FINISHED 30TH OF ALL 5TH AND 6TH GRADE BOYS IN THE CPS FINALS.

RUN FORREST, RUN!!

James (Jim) Rookus

Dave .... I'm sure the dowry is negotiable ... let me work on it ... it looks like they would make a cute pair !
YOU CERTAINLY are allowed to BRAG about your grandsons accomplishment ! Being 10th out of that huge of a school district IS A REASON to be PROUD!  Give him a $ 10.00 reward from me !

Mel Theobald and I had a booth at the BHS Craft Show last Saturday, November 2. We sold copies of our books and reconnected with a few classmates who came and said hello. All three of our books have something pertinent to BHS in them.

If you're not familiar with this annual event, it's a cross between a craft show and a World's Fair, and takes up much of the first floor of the school. Proceeds from the show go to benefit the BHS band program. Indeed, a worthy cause.

Thanks to Mel for co-sponsoring the book booth, and to those classmates who stopped by.

Contrats Jack and Mel !  Glad you had a successful day Saturday.  You very nicely represented the purple and gold at your table.  How did you get your photo to be possitioned in the center and smaller.  Everytime I post a photo they end up so large!

ALSO....  so glad the election is over and all the TV ads and unwanted phone calls have ceased !!!
