Terry (Max) Maxwell

I just googled Monkey Puzzle trees.  Seems I missed the height a little... they grow to 100' to 130' tall.  Looks like I'm going to have to cut a hole in the roof!  They are native to Chile and Argentina.

Dave...  Have never encountered that problem.  When I go to the store I have every intention of buying... you know... Oreos!

There are a number of monkey puzzle trees in Seattle.  Some quite tall.  Have never looked in a nursery to see if a little one would be available.  They are messy when mature.

Thanks Wendy.  I read that you can start one with freshly dropped seeds.  With them living for more than 100 years, I doubt that I'll see one mature.  I need to start real small because of limited ceiling height.  With my green thumb mine would probably die way before it gets too tall.  The ones that I've seen in West Seattle are very tall.  I'm sure they've been there for many years.

OMG.  Linda Bristow.  I haven't posted anything on this site in I guess several years.  However, since the pandemic started and it was decided to post all these crazy daily things, I've read every post since they started.  Never have missed a day.  Then, all of a sudden, I see you mention my name, along with several others.  So, l decided to log in.  I attended the 55th reunion last year, and I was disappointed, yet thrilled to death.  I had hoped to see several old friends, which were unable to attend.  However, I was elated to see a few people I doubt I'd seen since graduation, such as Ed Buis, Garth Golden, Wayne Kearny, Bill (Smokey) Walton, and a couple others.  Anyway, I have absolutely, totally enjoyed all the posts for about the last 6 months.  I've been amazed by the places people have been, the things they've accomplished & enjoyed during their lives.  The flowers, rivers, sunsets, crafts, trees, animals, kids, grandchildren, etc, etc.  And most of all, some of the hilarious things people have said.  `Although, I've recognized almost every photo of classmates and remembered soooo many things from the days of old.  Unbelievable memories.  For those who have traveled to far away places, I'm happy for you, and enjoyed hearing about your experiences.  That being said, I personally have absolutely, positively, with no reservations, NO desire to visit almost anywhere outside the USA. Well, maybe Ireland or Australia.  Maybe.  By the time I was 17, I had driven on vacations to almost every state in the US and seen so many things with my parents.  I feel I was very fortunate to have done that. Although, if the opportunity came for me to go and observe any species of Penguins, I'm in.  Not sure why, but I've been infatuated with all 17 species of penguins that exist.  Yep, unknown to most, there are 17 different families of them.  I have penguins made out of many different materials.  Maybe I'll put a pic of some on here one day later.  I need to get going, but, I'll try to get back on here in the next few days, and maybe give an update.  I guess part of my lack of posting the last few years has been somewhat due to health issues within the family.  Since things have settled, maybe I'll give a very short update about all that later.  For now, good night, and may everyone be blessed with good health and a safe holiday weekend coming up.

So glad to hear that Marv seems to be doing well after surgery. That is such good news!

Max love the picture of the plant. It is so unique.

Rod so glad to see you back posting. I hope the health issues that your family had to go through are resolved. I am like you and I read the posts every day although I don’t post frequently. I love seeing all the pictures and reading about what everyone is what to.

Stay safe everyone.

I don't know if we have a theme for today, but I'm going to suggest Your Bucket List.  On my bucket list is arranging my parent's old black and white photographs in an album.  I have a few pictures of our classmate Vicki Daugherty.  This 1st one is of me, Diane Daugherty, my sister Kay, and Vicki.

Sitting on our patio and took a couple of pictures of my friends at their feeder. That are live shots so don't know if the website has the capacity to handle them. Hoping for the best.

Rod:  I understand and pray that all is well now!  Thanks for writing again.  I was off while we were out of the office for about 6 months and just recently returned to participation.

Marv:  Praying that you are doing as well as I expect you to be!

Have a great day everyone!

Linda

Jim...

Very nice!  I like both of them.  The first one highlights the sky/clouds and the second shows the water better.  It's a great place to take sunsets.

So glad to hear you are doing so good AND behaving yourself.  It was nice to see a post from you.   I'm sure it will feel good to get back home and get back to your routine and maybe get into a little bit of trouble, just for fun.   ha-ha

Just finished today's crossword and one of the clues was "Fab!"  Answer was "Marv" .... and that brings me here to join with classmates in happiness for Marv's great recovery.

Judy will no doubt have to reign him in because you know he's going to be sorely tempted to jump into some big project.  Me, I'd welcome the excuse to be even lazier than I currently am!

Steve Jetton:

Fab and Marv are common slang in Great Britain.  I was amazed with some of their slang that was really difficult to follow by myself.  Thankfully, my friend Gretchen was there to translate!

Nice to see you on the Message Forum!

Linda

Being Sunday, I thought this was cute to submit,  so you can get a laugh, as I did.
