Thanks for following up on him, Jack. I was wondering why he hadn't been in for a while. Let's hope Vic has a full recovery. One of the few things I hate about this age is our vulnerability to these things. Take care, Vic. We need you in here, Bud

Happy Friday to everyone!  Have been gone for a couple days and am catching up today.  Annie... tell Mike I'm thinking about him and hoping for great things in the near future with his back problems.  Also, best wishes and a speedy recovery to Victor.

Vic,

Glad to see the surgery was successful... Jack is right, medicine is becoming magic now. Remember the Star Trek surgeon "Bones" who could put a little box up to a person and it weould both diagnose the problem as wwell as fix it... In many ways, we are gettin there!

Judith (Judy) McLean (Wilder)

Milan,

Sue is doing pretty good now after a couple set backs of pneumonia and trips back to the hospital.  She's having a little trouble during her therapy sessions as her right knee is really bothering her now and her left arm and shoulder are also sore as the muscles have tighted up due to her arm being strapped to her body for awhile after the pacemaker - defibulator was put in.  The pain makes it hard for her to do everything that they are asking her to do.  She has been walking with the walker back and forth to the therapy room which is real progress but still has some big strides to make.  They are hoping she may be able to come home by the end of the month.  I wasn't able to get down to see her last weekend as I've been fighting an awful cough and cold and wouldn't dare go near Sue in that condition.  I'm hoping that I'll be better by this coming weekend so we can get down to see her.  I tell her everything I've been reading on this forum and she is excited about the idea of getting home and being able to read everyone's comments and hopefully to respond sometime soon.  She loves hearing about everyone!

Sorry, that I haven't posted anything for awhile but have been busy working my second job at an Accounting Office.  I only work there during tax season so I'll be done by next Monday.  I can hardly wait!!!!  I'm always glad when I'm finished.  Will be happy to be back to just working my 14 hours a week at the church.  I keep telling my husband that this wasn't how I had planned my retirement.  I just took the church job to get me out of the house because his retirement meant just a little too much together time for me.  It's a good thing that this full-time stuff only lasts for about 10 weeks because I'm getting to old for this!!!!!  Just received my medicare card yesterday, now I really feel old!!

Hope everyone is enjoying this spring weather.  I'll update about Sue after I see her next time.  Take care.

Judy

Judy, Please relay to Sue that I'm thinking about her and miss hearing from her.  Also, prayers are that she continues making progress each day and will be joining all of us on the Message Forum soon!  She HAS been through a lot and must have an Angel sitting on her shoulder!  Thank you for keeping us posted on Sue's progress.

Judy...  Please relay a message for me, also.  Tell Sue that Max says to "Get Best!"  She'll understand.  Thank you.

Judy, thank you for the update on Sue.  Sounds like maybe she will make it home this time?  Mark is always asking me if I have heard anything about her.

Sorry, Vic, I took the last seat on the ship and with all my purses and shoes, there is no more room! You'll have to wait.  ha ha ha

Thanks for the up-date, Judy. I think we all care about Sue. That news is better than most of the news has been. Keep the prayers coming.

My sympathy to Marsha Hutson Brownfield on the passing of her Mother on Tuesday.

My conedolences to Marsha and her family also!  We know her Mother's extended illness has been difficult.  Our prayers are with the entire Hutson family!

Milan Jackson

I would like to add my condolences to the Brownfields and the Hutsons. At our age, it is becoming commonplace to lose a parent. But that connection is usually the last line of dependency and then we realize we are now that parent. It's a very sobering and lonely feeling. God bless the parents that are still here to share our lives.
