Mel:

There was something that you were not aware of............most were not aware of.  I hope that it never happens again.  There was a definite message in my comments to those involved.  Only they will understand what I said.

..........and I'm not telling you!

Linda

All,

Well said by all.  At our age we have all seen and done a lot and our perspective of life is based on what we have seen and done.  There is no right or wrong, just the way we perseive and feel about life.  I (out here in Nevada) enjoy each of your posts each and every day.  I am not a "Social Media" guy and the only forum I subscribe to is the BHS site.

Thanks for listening,

Ray

To the class of 64:  I would love to see everyone who lives close by at the Christmas dinner December 2!  You know we just lost another member of our class recently and life is to short to miss out on seeing people you haven't seen in years.

You know most people who remember me from high school know I was pretty tiny.  Well not any more!!  Oh I'm still short but I'm a lot wider.  I don't care if people judge me I'm still going to go and be happy to see everyone!  And I will give hugs to anyone who wants one.

I love this site! There is not one of us, that is what we were in 1964. We are 53 years older. 53! That's a lot. I haven't found a fountian of youth that would let me turn the clock back. (still looking) In my opinion, what matters is how we have grown and how we have applied the lessons that we hopefully have learned. When I graduated I was 17 years old. I'm 71 now. I don't think that any of us need to apologize for surviving.

I probably will not attend the reunion, but to trade hugs with Suzi......That would be VERY exciting!  You go, girl-friend!  Thank you for everything that you have done for our class!

I have been a sub for a Bunco group of retired and active teachers several times. I met the mother of one of the regular players last summer, but neither of us recognized the other. The next time I subbed for the group I found out she was Sheila Cremeens from our class! SheiIa now lives in Florida, but is in Bloomington again visiting her daughter and attended tonight's Bunco gathering. It was so much fun to get to see her again after all these years; plus, this time we both knew the other! I told her about our class of '64 mini reunion at Tony Roma's and she said she is planning to attend. I know some of you would love to see her again and thought it would be a good idea to let everyone know that we will have a new attendee.

I am so pleased that Sheila is coming to the Mini-Reunion!  I have often wondered where she was!  Please tell her hello from me!

Love and Blessings!

Mike, thank you for the compliment but it would be great to see you.  Also so glad Sheila will be there.

I do enjoy posting on this site.  It's a great way to keep in touch with all the class.

Suzi, you rock girl. I will be there to collect one of those invaluable hugs. You did say "free," right?

Mike, I admit that what I wrote a couple of days ago was meant for you as much as anyone. You know by now that many of us have been trying for a long time to draw you into these reunions. Every one of these events you miss, is another lost opportunity. In all sincerity, we would all be thrilled if you walked into that room to celebate the Christmas Holidays with us. If a hug from Suzi won't get you there, then I don't know what will.

Linda, thanks for clarifying. I don't know what happened (and I don't need to). All I can say is that after attending 50 years of reunions, I've only had one regret: there is never enough time to talk to everyone long enough. You are one such person. That is why your presence on this website is so important. No matter what else you have to say, your LOVE is always out there for everyone. Can I have your hug from Suzi?

Ray, please tell us more. In my Russian travels, I've learned to set a chair at the table and flll a glass for someone special who can't make it. At least you'll be with us in spirit. Can I have your hug from Suzi?

Judy, thanks for getting Sheila to come on Saturday. Can't wait to see her, you and all the other '64 Raiders.

'TIS THE SEASON TO BE JOLLY. FA LA LA LA LA, LAH LAH LAH LAH!!! GO RAIDERS!!!

Mel, if you're there you'll get a hug. And if Mike doesn't show up you can have his!!

Well we are on our way home from St. Louis.  Dave had to come down to Barnes to get a heart ❤️ monitor.  Good thing is he only has to wear it twenty four hours.

See yo'al Saturday night!!!'

I went to a very old resource in search of a picture of Sheila Cremeens and stepped through a portal back to 1960 at BJHS. I'm attaching a picture of my homeroom group (I'm third in from the left, second row from the top) and would be happy to copy and post more homerooms if you'd like.

Sheila must be in here somewhere!

Mel...

Unfortunately I will not be able to make it down on Saturday.  Would you get a hug for me, also?!

I want to wish Coach Jim Bowers a Happy Birthday. Today Jim turns 89. He is in Hospice care at Heritage Manor on Walnut Street in Bloomington. Jim isn't doing well. Bless you, Mr. Bowers.

Joan, love the home room picture. Would love to see more.

I am so upset that we won’t be able to come to the reunion.  Nothing serious but are helping some family members out. I especially wanted to make the Christmas one. Can’t wait till the next mini reunion.

Joan, thanks for sharing your BJHS home room picture.  I really enjoyed that. I think that I recognized most of them. 1960? We were what....14 years old? Speaking for myself, I would love to look at a few more, if you have the time to post. We were SO innocent in those days....(well, I was)

These days, it seems that the trend is to publicly apologize for anything and everything. Since when does that absolve our sins? In lieu of that, I offer my apology for posting on our site, way too many times. "Save me! It has become an addiction."    Please forgive my spelling and the over use of  the comma

                                                              GO YOU RAIDERS!

I have several of these - put yourselves in reminisce mode! I cut some pictures out, and Steve Norton's picture was stuck to something else and literally defaced.

Enjoy!

Thank you for posting those classroom photos.  I'm so happy to see them.  Our house had burned down and all of my photos are gone!

Thanks again!

Oh my gosh, Joan! That really was a blast from the past! How fun is was to see all those young faces again! Thank you so much for posting those pictures. I hope you can get back to Illinois one of these days and meet up with some of your classmates again.

Joan,  Thank you for posting those old classroom photos.  Such fun looking thru them.  I don't have mine anymore so I really enjoyed looking thru those.  Homeroom 201-such fond memories.

It was my pleasure to post these old pictures. Since I moved to California at the start of our junior year and haven’t seen most of you since then, I still imagine you all look somewhat like you did in these pictures.

Hope all that are attending the mini-reunion have a wonderful time.  Had it on my calendar and was hoping to attend, but having just finished the drive to / from Chicago (9 hours each way) for Thanksgiving and having the upcoming drive to Chicago - to Columbus - to Chicago - and back to KC for Christmas, the old body just isn't up to the task anymore.  As my prosthetist (one of our friends from church is constantly thinking I'm saying PROSTITUTE) keeps telling me, the artifical leg is meant for walking, not sitting.

MERRY CHRISTMAS each and EVERYONE!
