You just have to accept change and be flexible.
A couple of weeks ago, I went for in-out squamous cell removal surgery.
The room filled with 6 people, me included. For all except the doctor, I could have been their grandfather. I could have been the doctor’s father. Still, we had lots of laughs and a great conversation ranging from everything from the development of mankind and the Neanderthal era, to Taco Bell, to Christopher’s Kitchen, a place I’d eaten in Florida. The doctor took notes as to its location.
Their intelligence bridged the age gap between that and my foggy “wisdom”. So it worked.
Didn’t occur to me until I left that I was the only Caucasian in the room.
