MEL, YOUR GRANDDAUGHTER IS A REAL CUTIE!

I saw our old friend Larry Elliott yesterday. A few of our classmates became electricians years ago and Larry was a part of that group along with myself. If you remember, Larry was quite a chacter in those H S days. He was an old gearhead and could drive the wheels off a hot rod. He is a good electrician and one the hardest workers I ever met.

It was great to see him. I think he will be heading to Florida soon to get away from our famous winter weather. We have a great class! I’m proud to be a part of it.

Suzi,  Thankyou for the birthday wishes.  I had a great birthday.  Blessing to all my class of 1964 BHS classmates.

Hey Jack Habic:

We haven't seen you on this message forum for a while!  What is happening with you?

Linda

Jack Habich

Hi Linda.  Haven't been on here much lately.

What's been happening?  I walk dogs, I do errands, go to Costco to grocery shop, catch up with friends and relatives, go to Starbucks and Panera and now and then go downtown where the  Millennials have rebuilt the area and have taken over my old haunts.

Other than that, I've been to Florida 3 times in the last year  while Dee, along with friends and relatives, went to Paris, Nice and Monaco.  I walked and fed the dogs and was sent pictures.

I'm in the process of downloading some pictures and will put them on my profile as I get the chance.

Jack:

Not a bad year for kicks and giggles!

Hope to see you next August!

Sounds like you need a few new haunts!   Create them!  Find some places you could like!

Blessings to you and your's!

Linda

Jack, when you find out where a 71 year old burned out rooster goes for action, PLEASE let us know! I'm lost. My John Travolta mimic isn't working!    (must be the hair, or lack of)

I just don’t see how creating a haunt for 71 year olds is a good bet, unless it’s covered by Medicare.

And Mike, John Travolta is to these Millennials what Patty Page was to us.  Inconsequential.

You could try Bruno Mars, but there's still the hair issue.

Jack:

Making it your new haunt doesn't mean it is for 71 year olds.  There may be many ages and backgrounds of people.  But, if you find a place that you like and will return to.............it's a new haunt.

Linda

You just have to accept change and be flexible.

A couple of weeks ago, I went for in-out squamous cell removal surgery.

The room filled with 6 people, me included.  For all except the doctor, I could have been their grandfather. I could have been the doctor’s father.  Still, we had lots of laughs and a great conversation ranging from everything from the development of mankind and the Neanderthal era, to Taco Bell, to Christopher’s Kitchen, a place I’d eaten in Florida.  The doctor took notes as to its location.

Their intelligence bridged the age gap between that and my foggy “wisdom”.  So it worked.

Didn’t occur to me until I left that I was the only Caucasian in the room.

Jack:

Glad you enjoyed yourself.  Going to the doctor wasn't the haunt I was going for!!!!!

Have a great day!   Maybe you'll find other places that you enjoy.   How about an ice cream shop?

Blessings to you!

Linda

I would like to say thank you to all the Veterans in our class for your service.  Some have gone to the Heavenly sky.  Your service has given us our freedom that we have.

I want to personally thank all the Vietnam vets because they never got the thanks they deserved. 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

Thank you Suzi. I always felt that it was an honor to wear the uniform and to represent my country. I had tremendous support from family, friends, and loved ones. Without that, I would never have survived one day of military service. Perhaps we, as veterans, should recognize the support that we received.

I will always stand a little taller. The "Stars and Stripes" will look a little brighter. There might be a small tear in my eye, not because I served, but because I understand what it means to be an American, and the sacrifices that have been made for us to remain free.

Please support the men and women that serve our country this day. and into the future.                                      Go You Raiders!

I hope he passed his rifle inspection.

Suzi - Thanks for the Veterans' Day message.  Much appreciated!

Jack - Come on, we know you never go to COSCO before 11am to "grocery shop" because 11am is when they start passing out the free samples - (I know because I never go there before 11am)

Milan - re: the rifle inspection - well, he is Army so passing the inspection is questionable.

Before everyone tells me that the Marine Corps is just a Department of the Navy - I do know that - It's the Men's Department!

Happy Birthday to all those I've missed and all those I'll miss until the next time I'm on the website.

Semper Fi!

Ironically, David, I just got back from the aformentioned Costco, but "pickins" were slim.  And yes, I've been known to have a complimentary Sunday brunch there.

Jack - I was still logged in when I got home - I agree about the slim pickins - Mondays are the worst at COSCO.

Mel - not to be outdone , here's my 5 month old grandson -

Milan, that guy looks VERY familiar. (not the sargent)   Ft Polk, La. Spring of 1966. I was 19 years old. Where in the world did that pic come from?

Along with hundred's of my friends in B/N  I received a special invitation to the US Army from Theo McElvaney!    Bet they all remember her. AH! the good old days.
