Rodney (Rod) Hayes
I haven't kept up on the site as much as I would like, but the last month has been a little hectic.
Anyway, thanks for the Birthday wish Suzi, as you keep up on that very regularly. And Max, you also.
For anyone who may be wondering, I'm doing very well on this oral chemo drug. I have completed 200 consecutive days now, with at least another 110 to 120 to go. For those who have had chemo, it has the usual side affects. But, I have lost 25lbs. and that's a good thing. But, not the diet I would recommend for anyone. Ha! I know we have other classmates who are going thru this journey. I hope and pray they are doing well.
Suzi. I have noticed that you and your Husband have endured so much these past few years. I can relate to what you have been going through. It can be a very physical, mental, and financial strain. I really hope life gets better in the near future so you can enjoy the activities and people that make you happy. Now as far as those CUBS. You keep the terror alive with those Cardinal fans. I'm right there with you. I have a lot of relatives who are Bird fans. Guess what? I keep them constantly informed of how well we are doing and how much they suck right now. After all, we ARE still the World Champions at least until the end of this season.
Dave (Long). It's wonderful to see you're doing well. I just knew you would come out of this situation with a great attitude.
Ed, it's great to see that you are moving on with your life. I'm happy for you. Maybe this new lady can help ease the pain and give you comfort over that Alabama loss a few months ago. Ha! Ha! Actually, I was stunned myself.
Linda. I always enjoy your posts. You come up with some pretty funny stuff. However. About that pathetic, ugly dog baseball team you have there in El Paso. They did really, really well last year and their off to a good start this year. Get out there and support them. Also, that Hockey team you have out there that you didn't like the name of. They have actually been there for some time and they also are pretty good. Check them out too. Take the Grand Kids and expose them to some sporting events like that.
Jack. I'm not sure you could pass for Doug, but actually maybe Ditka himself. By the way. That picture with the guitar player. Does that not look a bit like our classmate Robert Bloomquist? Look at it close. Also, you mention Ralph Emery. Is that the same guy who had the Country Show on T.V.?
Whoops. I gotta go for now. But, I'll get back on here sooner next time.
