I wanted to detassle corn so badly but wasn't tall enough, 5', and was jealous of those who were, that could earn the good money.

In my junior year, I was a curbie at Hubbard's Cubord. I think the detasselers made lots more than I did. I got 50¢ an hour and tips. Enough for gas and date money.

When we invited the entire Class of 1964 to join our weekly breakfast, I thought we would get more than one. And she came because she is married to one of the 1963 guys. Come on out next week. It's fun. Very laid back. Just show up, talk, eat, talk, run. Simple :)

I sold Watkins products door to door in the summer! If I had known there would be girls I would have in the fields  Milan if you worked at Hubbard Cubord then you must have worked for my uncle AL JACKSON!

I worked for Al for several years. He fired me three times but always took me back. Al and Dixie were good people. Al and I would work the front door on football nights.

I remember, trying to get into Hubbard's after football games was like trying to get into Studio 54.

Four people leave, four people can come in. Business on Friday nights was great.  :)

No one else has sent in pony pictures?  I loved Hubbard's Cupboard!  Best french fries and burgers in town and curb service.  Yes, Milan, write it down that Karen & I will be there.  My dance card is empty on that date!

I wonder if I could get some discussion going re: get togethers for our class this year.

How many would be best, what day of the week, where and who would be interested.

Let's try to get a lot of input and figure something out! I know it is hard with Sue out

of commission but she will be working on her rehab and might surprise all of us.

While I am not a part of the Class of 1964, I have been a small part of this site. You schedule it, I will come. :)

Anyone know how Jack Keefe is doing?  It seems he's faded out of sight???? And Sue must be slowly recovering?  Am interested in hearing about both of them.

I see Jack nearly once per week. He isn't exactly jumping up and down but he is recovering.

Hubbard's had great tenderloins. They didn't come frozen. The cook made them fresh daily.
