Mary Richard Carson

I joined the Army in November after HS and worked as a Spec. 5 at the Pentagon. Met my husband there and married in 1967 just before we were both discharged. Lived a few years in the Long Beach, CA area, but spent the majority of our lives in Blythe, CA for 33 years. When Don retired in 2002, we moved up here to beautiful Oregon. Our kids moved up with us, seems we were all tired of the desert heat! We have my husband's dream, "5 acres and a creek" and enjoy our Nazarene church family and wonderful pastor. I keep busy with "too much" yard work, reading and cross-stitch, and have been a Hospice Volunteer for six years.

I remember the beautiful new school building and indoor swimming pool, and having to wear ugly navy blue bloomers for PE. ha
I was in Mr. Ridenour's homeroom - read that Jim Rookus was too. We were both quiet and shy.
I loved the Bloomington Library with two beautiful statues inside....hope it's still there!
