After ISU, I went into the Army and graduated from Engineer Officer Candidate School. I spent a year in DC, followed by a year in Vietnam, and then returned to Bloomington, where I joined State Farm and met my wife, Marty. A couple of years later, Accenture recruited me, and we moved back to DC before eventually settling in Houston. In 1989, we took the plunge and started our own company, Technology Partners International (TPI), which we eventually sold in 2007 after an amazing run. These days, we stay busy grandkids, with our church and several non-profits in Houston, especially Inspiration Ranch, where we partner horses with kids facing developmental challenges. We’re also heading back to Malawi, Africa, this year to continue supporting Child Legacy International and their sustainable, holistic village project. Like everyone, we’ve had our ups and downs, but we feel very fortunate and are still in good health. I’m really looking forward to catching up with everyone at the reunion!
