Hi Marilyn Evans. It's been years. How've you been?

Here is something to do that costs nothing but your time but has so much value:

The flight coming into our airport with the Bartonville soldiers coming home from Afghanistan will be landing at 5pm Thursday afternoon. Clayton James will be there with flags for everyone to wave as we greet those brave souls. Be there if you can.

I was just browsing the website and this message forum.  Admittedly, it's been awhile since I was on here.  I read the four pages and truly laughed out loud when I read the part where Milan was asking whether Juanita's grandmother was also a Jumper.  Jack replied something like, "I'm not sure whether she was a Jumper or a Hopper."  Not sure why that struck me so funny, but I had tears in my eyes from chuckling.  Now you know it doesn't take much to get me going.  I'll try to spend more time here and contribute when I can... and yes, Cheryl's 'new do' looks nice!  Keep up the good work.

Hey, this is as close to purple and gold as I can find. :)

Don't forget the joint breakfast on December 24th at Shannon's at 8am. Then the joint dinner at Alexander's Steakhouse in Normal on December 27th. Social time from 4 til 6 and dinner starts at 6pm.

This is a joint effort with the Classes of 1963 and 1964. We do need to know who is coming so please let us know if you can make it. If you don't let us know but find yourself available at the last minute, come anyway. They will make room. We do have the private room for the dinner. The Class of 1962 is invited but at this point, we have no real source of contact. So it you know anyone from that class, invite them.

Only a few have signed up for the dinner on December 27th at Alexanders. Social time from 4 to 6 and dinner at 6pm.  We are also having a breakfast on December 24th at Shannon's at 8am. We usually spend half the morning there so come later if you want. Let me know if you are coming but it is not mandatory. Come anyway. We have room.

Mike and Annie, are you coming to the dinner?

Cheri, are you coming to the dinner?

Sandy, are you coming to the dinner?

Jack, are you coming to the dinner?

We have two cheerleaders coming so far, what about the cheerleaders from 1964?

Hey, I'm trying. (laugh)

We are running out of time folks and I haven't heard from very many

Karen Blanford, Judy Tynan and I plan on attending the breakfast at Shannon's on the 24th.  See you then.

Milan, sorry I won't be able to make it on the 24th or 27th, though I did intend to go on the 27th instead of the 4th.  Hindsight now.  I look forward to hearing about it and seeing some pics.

Maybe next time, Jack. Thanks for answering. :)

Cheryl Turner (Hitzner)

Well, Terry, thanks for noticing my new do!!! A little different than the short, spikey hair I've had for a long time.  From high school until now, I'm still messing with my hair!!!

Girls spend a lot of money on shoes and a lot of time on their hair. Guys notice, "Yup, she's still pretty".  You could be barefoot and have a scarf over your head. Us guys are a simple lot. (laugh)

Here is something we can do that has no cost but can put a smile on a face that could use a smile.

Xerox is doing it again this year. Good for them!
XEROX IS DOING SOMETHING COOL

If you go to this web site, www.LetsSayThanks.com   you can pick out a thank you card and Xerox will print it and it will be sent to a soldier that is currently serving in Iraq . You can't pick out who
gets it, but it will go to a member of the armed services.

How AMAZING it would be if we could g et everyone we know to send one!!!    It is FREE and it only takes a second.
Wouldn't it be wonderful if the soldiers received a bunch of these?    Whether you are for or against the war, our soldiers over there need to know we are behind them.
This takes just 10 seconds and it's a wonderful way to say thank you.    Please take the time and please take the time to pass it on for others to do.  We can never say enough thank you's.
Thanks for taking to time to support our military!

Max, thanks for laughing at my cheap joke, but when Milan feeds you a line like "Do you think her grandmother was a Jumper?" who could resist?  I mean I'm thinking High Jumper, Broad Jumper, Claim Jumper, Puddle Jumper...you know...

12/18/10 06:24 PM #108

Milan Jackson

Makes me wonder what your line would have been if I asked if she was a Long. :)

12/19/10 10:29 AM #109

Jack Habich

Then you're talking nephew Martin Short and uncle Extra.

12/19/10 10:44 AM #110

Milan Jackson

We will leave Slim Pickens and Fatty Arbuckle out of it.

12/19/10 10:53 AM #111

Jack Habich

Please do.

And that is the Long and Short of it.
