Thank you, Jim.   It has been up for a few days.  The day my Son put the ornaments at the top, because I can't reach up there, he was in a hurry so I had to wait until he came back to take the picture.  The only cell phone I use is for emergencies.  Although, it does take pictures, I don't use is for that. And my camera is harder to use.  So I wanted to wait until he could take the pictures for me and send them to me.  As you can see, I have a collection of ornaments.  This year I was good about not buying anymore.  I did get a few craft ones at a church bazaar, though,

I've enjoyed seeing yours and Marvin's. They are both very nice.  I love the Santa, Marvin.  I hope other's put their pictures on, too.

Looking forward to seeing everybody tonight at the mini-reunion at Alexander's.  Mel, I hope you can make it.  But if not, we will miss you..I'm hoping you are doing better.

Posted for Liz Alex.  Her tree with a train under it that plays Christmas music and changes colors  Also, her Nativity. The train and Nativity are very old.

Thank you Sandy. Yes, it has been a few days since the surgery and the eye is healing. I can almost read the morning paper with both eyes open. That is progress. Sorry I couldn't be there tonight. I thought about all of you and called Marv to see how everything went. I missed not being there. LOVE seeing everyone's trees. Keep em coming.

Photos from our Mini-Runion Saturday at Alexander's Steakhouse. We had 22 attendees all under the age of 80. In spite of the accumulation of about 1,700 years of wear and tear we managed to have a most enjoyable evening. Wish we would have had at least 2,500 years of wisdom and storytelling in attendance. Maybe next time. Merry Christmas.

GREAT PICTURES of many happy faces.....  I'm really sad that we couldn't make it !  After connecting with so many at the 60th reunion I really was hoping to be able to make it !  House sitting 5 grandkids and a Labrador took priority !  I especially like the single shot of Madelon .... looks like she was saying. Ho Ho Ho !

This is a picture from a friend I worked with Gailey Eye Clinic.  Just goes to show someone can put more ornaments on a tree than me!  ha-ha

There were many people missing Saturday night that usually attend.  Not sure if they didn't know about it or just had other things going on.  But we did miss the ones that weren't able to attend.

Sandy - I don't think your friend had a tree there. Just a collection of ornaments and lights stuck together. And what a collection.

If you look closely you can see tinsel on our tree, something I do every year because it reminds me of the Christmas trees we had when I was a child.  Looks like I need to get the step stool and fix the angel on top of the tree.  (The tv with the fireplace screensaver is only there until the living room returns to normal, but it looks dangerous to have a fire that close to a Christmas tree!)

We enjoyed the mini-reunion last Friday night, and look forward to attending another one!  Thanks, Sandy for encouraging me!  Also thanks to Marv in advance for straightening up my picture, and his patience with me to fix my access to the Class of 1964 site.  Merry Christmas to the Class of 1964 and have a blessed new year! (Sue - another fallen tree now picked up)

Boo asked me to post this photo of her Christmas tree with the following message:

The creche at the bottom was made by our son Brian with the help of his Dad when he was little. Still need to find straw to make it like it used to be. Figures are a Mexican purchase many moons ago! Merry Christmas!

Hope you don't 'mind but I took the liberty to edit Boo's picture of the "crèche" and enlarge and lighten it to see more clearly the detail .... a wonderful and meaningful family heirloom!

Thanks Jim! Wishing everyone a peaceful Christmas, whether you are alone or with lots of people, enjoy being alive and remember your blessings! There are good things around you if you focus on them and don't Focus on what you perceive you are missing!!

BOO.... I thought that was such a neat project for a dad and son to work on together.... someday pass it on to his girls as a keepsake !

ALSO watched your music worship service Sunday.... beautiful !!!  Noticed you weren't in the choir BUT as the camera panned the congregation notices you and husband near the back on center isle and you were singing joyously !

A Belated Happy Thanksgiving!

We were fortunate enough to be able to take the entire family to Hawaii for Thanksgiving.  We enjoyed the Traditional Thanksgiving Dinner at Tanaka of Tokyo (a tepenaki meal that was delicious and the kids loved watching the chef cook on the flattop and flip food, his spatula, and knives around.

Here's a quick video we took on the North Shore of Oahu.  There's an obvious reason you don't see me out on the rocks - the power chair isn't equipped with tank treads.  The boys had a great time and asked if we could do it again next year?  That's an unfortunate NO, but it was a great experience for all.

Here's a link to the video clip:

Just now I heard on TV, discussions of ghosts of Christmas past.

Question:  Have any of you seen wisps of images that may have been, what we call, a ghost?

We lived in our old house for 30 years.  About 10 years before we moved in, a 12 year old child accidentally killed himself in a bedroom.  When someone was lurking outside at night he seemed to touch my hair.  When a group was starting to strip my van, he touched my hair.  We were never afraid of him.

He is still there.  He made a few things move.   He found a few things for us.  The list continues............

Linda

It is with great sadness that Carol McCauley Swartz passed away Dec 13. While I never had the pleasure of knowing Carol very well in HS she married Alan Swartz soon after HS. Alan and I were good friends in those days and I wish to extend my deepest sympathy to Alan and their family. Her obituary is posted in the In Memory section of the website.

Charles Ridenour passed away December 15, 2024.  He was a long time school teacher at BHS when we were there, although, I didn't have him for any classes, I knew who he was.   He was over 90 years old and attended my church every Sunday, only walking with a cane and always wore a suit or sport coat and tie.

His Daughter moved him to Estes Park, Colorado to be closer to her at the end of the summer.  He had been having health issues and had been on the prayer list.

I have been watching the Patagraph for an obituary, but so far none as surfaced.  The announcement that came from my church said they plan to have a Memorial Service at the church in the Spring.  So maybe an obituary will be put in when the Memorial Service is announced.
