Jim, graduation was in the gym, as I remember it. Seniors sat facing south (toward the pool) and walked across a portable stage to get their diplomas. Wes Stephens. Wendy's dad. was on the school board then and I think he was the one who handed me my diploma.

Does anyone have photos from graduation night? I'd love to show you mine but Dad took only one or two before I left the house and I have no idea where they are. But maybe other classmates have some to share.

This is the only photo I have of June 03,'64 and it doesn't look like it was taken in the gym?  Like Mr. Rookus, I do not have any recollection or our graduation: sorry.

Jack:

I graduated in El Paso, TX from El Paso High School.  (El Paso, IL was named after El Paso, TX)

The building and grounds were built by Trost who is well known here.  It was the first high school built in El Paso.  It has a large cement amphitheater that is used for football games and graduation.  They are the Tigers.

I went to the 10 year reunion.  People wanted to know who you married, how much money you have, and could you hire their relatives.  I refuse to ever return.

Returning to attend a reunion with you all, after I had grown up with you, was significantly my pleasure.  What a difference!  I still love you all!

I appreciate every one of ya!

Love, Linda

After leaving Zion NP we routed ourselves through LasVegas for a "drive through" on the way to LosAngeles.  For a moment it even looked like we were in Paris !

Check the updates on the website Home Page. Invitations were mailed yesterday and you should all be receiving them in the next few days. Note the RSVP cutoff date of July 20. We need feed back by then to know how many to plan for and to arrange for food and other incidentals. Looking forward to seeing all of you in August.

Yesterday, I kept waiting for someone in our class to wish all the Dad's a Happy Father's Day.  Nobody did.  So, here I am and I'm hoping that all men that call themselves "Dad" had a very good day.  This include's Dads in Heaven that are surely watching down on their children.

I haven't been on this site in a year or two and just noticed the passing of Tim Schmidt last year. We were pretty close growing up on Mazefield Ave...even thou we were a year apart in school. We hiked, climbed trees, built and raced go karts, played football, basketball and baseball together for years. First at Oakland School then Washington Junior High, BJHS and later at BHS. Lost touch when Tim went to Milikin and I went to ISU and then Tim moved to the Chicago area. His parents lived a block or so away when I lived on Hillside Lane in Bloomington and I would see them once in a while. Last time I saw and talked with Tim was at his fathers visitation in Bloomington. Tried to get in touch with him several times over the years...but it never worked out.

RIP Tim...I'll always remember our adventures together...when we were just kids. The movie "Stand by Me" always reminds me of our early time together.

This is us on our 1964 Legion Varsity State Championship team.

I was informed tonight that Rodney Brown passed away last November. His obituary is posted in the In Memory section. We are sadly losing so many of our old friends and classmates.

Continuing our trip from Las Vegas to Pasadena ... The Gamble House... Amazing example of Craftsman architecture, designed by brothers Charles and Henry Greene and later donated to city of Pasadena.  And a few blocks north of the Gamble house a visit the the Rose Bowl, but no game to watch!

May 2023 I cruised the Baltic Sea with Nat Geo.  We stopped at Sweden, Denmark, Poland, Latvia, Estonia, and Finland.  My favorite thing I saw was 'the little mermaid'

JULIE :  You sure have had some amazing travels !  I particularly love all the amazing old world architecture in your photos.  Do you travel alone on all these adventures ?  And, are you usually with a tour, or just adventurous enough to wing it on your own?  Please keep more pictures coming !!!
