Nice idea Dave. Here is a pic from Key Colony Beach Florida next to Marathon.

Marv, glad you accepted Dave's challenge. Just wondering...is that where you are keeping an eye on Cuba?

Marvin Theobald

If the earth was flat Cuba would be visibly in the picture less than 90 miles away. I will be looking that direction every day until going back to Bloomington which now appears to be another four weeks. No cases yet in Marathon so we are staying put. Hope all of you are safe!

OK Dave, you asked for it. This is "Atmospheric Matrix" taken from my condo. Grid is the vapor trail of criss-crossing planes. Anyone who wants to see more can go to my website files photography/sky at: www.theobaldart.com. There is a lot more there.

Dave, I didn't know this was going to be a daily event. Where is Dorothy's FB page?

Terri Baxter (Whirrett)

Hi, have a pic to send but how do I get it on the post? Duh!

Terri,

As you are responding look ^ and there is an icon of a picture, click on that and it will ask you to CHOOSE a photo - go to your photos and select the picture you want, then click on UPLOAD and after the picture is uploaded, hit SUBMIT and the picture should be ready on our forum.  YOU CAN DO THIS! yes

I'll check back later - after Dorothy beats me at SCRABBLE again.  I think I'm about 7 vs 232 in total games played.  Advanced Degree (Masters) continues to beat the High School Diploma

Thought an extreme example of social distancing might be encouraging. Hope you are doing your part!

This is a kingfisher taken at Heritage Lake near Mackinaw, IL.

My sunset (kinda cheating because it was actually a sunrise) entry a little on the late side for today. Taken from my rooftop deck when living near Dallas. Downtown Dallas is in the background.

I saw these azaleas as I was taking a walk yesterday.

Nice color Dave and Terri!! I love azaleas but they last such a short time. Hope we are able to get back to Illinois in time for the spring flowers.

Dave do we have topic for today or just go freestyle?

Beautiful Teri!

That's our photo post for the day - Please Share pictures of flowers or plants you particularly enjoy.

Where was the picture taken?   This taken with an old iPhone 4 on our trip to Prague.

Melvin (Mel) Theobald

Terri, these are BOOtiful. smileyheartyes Almost makes me forget about being locked indoors.

Dave, you're such a show off. First Arizona, then Alaska, and now Prague! Where haven't you been? This is such a fun idea. Hope others are enjoying the pix and will play your little game.

This one is from just outside Biosphere 2 in Oracle, AZ. It is most unusual because of the purple cactus. But, oh those flowers. If anyone wants a better look at it, this is a link to it on my website: www.theobaldart.com/plants

Marv, no more cheating. You know I always loved that view from your roof. A pure Texas sky is awesome whether morning or night.

Where's Jack Keefe? He's a darn good photographer. Hope he gets in on the action.

Marv might recognize where I took this picture.

Sandra Jeakins (Singletary Sizemore)

Sue, I'm guessing that is the front porch at The Grand Hotel on Mackinac Island in Michigan?   That was the 1st place I thought of.

Here are two contributions to the flower collection. One of a field of bluebonnets near Ennis, Texas and the other of bluebells at Merwin Nature Preserve near Lake Bloomington.

Regina - I am stumped. Great view but it does not look familiar.

Glad to see new contributors. Love the floral pictures. Thinking about tomorrow - let's do wild critters you've photographed.  I won't use anything from our safari but there is a zebra shot caught "in action" that's pretty funny.....

Humor keeps us going, so I'm posting this by special request:

I heard a Dr. on TV saying that in this time of coronavirus, staying at home, we should focus on inner peace. We all could use more calm in our lives and to achieve this we should always finish things we start. I looked through the house to find things I’d started and hadn’t finished, so I finished off a bottle of Merlot, a bottle of Prosecco, a bottle of Crabernet, a bodle of Balleyes, a butle of wum, tha mainder of Valiumun ersrciptun, an a boch of chocletz. Yu haf no idr ow feckin fablus I feel rite now. Sned this to all ur fernds who need inner piss. An telum u luvum. And boa't hash yer wands, stafe day avrybobby!!! Goo niche

Really, I was just kidding, but it does make me think I should be doing some spring cleaning. Will be back tomorrrow to meet Dave Long's photo challenge. Anyone else? Don't be bashful.

That was my first try at putting a photo on this site.  I took it in Maui.

Notice the center of the Bird of Paradise... there is a lizard in there.  May have to enlarge it to find him.

Marv, since you posted a picture earlier from Mackinaw Island I thought you might know where my picture was taken.  Sandy Singletary knew it right away!  I took it at the Grand Hotel on Mackinaw Island.  Keep the pictures coming

Love flower photos - keep them coming.  My yard is muddy wet.  Only helleborus blooming.  No sign of my Bluebell or other Spring shade flowers.  This photo is of my rain garden.  Gail
