Mel:

Love the photo with the names.  Can you email it to me please?  I want to blow it up to a 16 x 20 so I can see the darn thing when I'm 90!

Good job!

Linda

I would like to add my thanks to the Planning Committee and everyone else who had a hand in making our 50th Class Reunion such a success! It was so much fun, especially seeing friends that I had not seen in 50 years! How can 50 years have gone by so quickly?! And I did get to meet Milan Jackson, whom I had never had the opportunity to meet before!  Thanks again to all responsible for all the fun and old memories and now, new memories for all who attended.

Nancy Whiteman, it was good to finally see you again.  Told you I'd be there.  And, as I predicted, the popular and formerly popular kids did come over to speak with us.

Would also like to add a big "THANK YOU" to everyone involved in the planning of our 50th reunion.  You all went above and beyond to make us all feel welcome and make sure we had a good time.  I know it was a lot of work on your part.  You all hit this one out of the park!!!

Some guy got a bright idea to go around Bloomington with a horse and charge people to take their picture on it.  Sounds like a good money maker to me.  The horse didn't mind cuz he just stood there and smiled!  Guess he never made it down my street that I ever remember.

That's what I thought you thought, Milan.  I was thinking with your mind for a sec...no wonder everything seemed super clear :).

Hi everyone!   Enjoyed the pony photos.  My 8 brothers & sisters were born in Gridley, Il.  We have photos in the family album of them on a similar pony 20 years before the age of your photos.  Mom said that the photographer would go around town leading the pony and knocking on doors to make a deal to photograph their children.  I have no idea who the guy was or if it was more than one guy.  However, he must have stayed in business for a long time (during a time when money was scarce).  Guess you'd call that.....drumming up business!

Next....we'll hear from Milan........

I'm ready for your research on the Pony Photography Industry in Bloomington.  I know you can find it!    I have faith in you!

Thanking you in advance!

Linda

The guy with the horse was, Wilber.

The horse was named.............."Mister, something or other?  You tell me!

Max; I was on that horse.....on W. Bissell St. How'd you miss it? Maybe it was too tired after it left Johnny Green's.

Mike... I must have been over in Miller Park on the Ferris wheel or Tilt A Whirl.  Johnny Green probably took it out for a few hot laps around the track!

I feel so violated ... I thought that pony only visited twin John and I!  How many of us wore those chaps and that jaunty hat?

Michael (Mike) Franks

My mother kept that picture forever. She still has it!

I would NEVER have guessed that so many of us had straddled that thing, all of those years ago.

Honestly....We were SO inocent back in the early 50's! I'm thankful that I grew up in those days. After '64, I was exposed to way too much, way too quickly. Now I have become what my parents were. I wanted to share with my grand daughters, but they just give me a "not so polite" stare. Getting old, really sucks, especially when you know that you are just being tolerated.

Well, it looks like Judy is enjoying herself with the girls.  Looking good for women in their 40's.
