Mel, you may be a rash in jumping to the conclusion that Dave should be thanked for restoring order, as though he were the adult in the room.
Consider that we don’t normally see Dave at this event. Not to mention, not normally seeing ugly sweaters with blinking lights. Maybe an occasional ugly sweater, but no lights.
And finally, such rowdiness is virtually never seen.
