I’m very sad to hear Charlie Crabtree was the volunteer who was killed on the Normal West bus crash last night.

Charlie was always happy and jolly.  He had been coming to all the mini get to gethers.

Charlie you will be missed.

It is so sad to learn that Charlie was a victim of such a tragic accident. He was with us last Saturday at our mini-reunion and was always such a happy and fun member of our gatherings. He will be greatly missed but always remembered. This picture was just taken last Saturday.

Charlie was such a great guy and friend.  He stood up with Ron when Ron and I got married.  I'm so glad we had the chance to re-connect thru the mini-reunions. We kept in touch thru e-mails and Facebook Messenger.  I will miss him a lot.

Linda, I have been watching the weather and all of the activity in the southern U.S. I could not help but notice that El Paso, Tx. is having  some rainfall.(radar) Is the world coming to an end? You guy's NEVER get rain! Of course it's NOAA, so they usually get it wrong. Hope it's warm there. Illinois winter here!

I am in shock about the loss of Charlie. I also worked at K-Mart with him. We were good friends. He was over at my house, he called my mom... mom! We had just re-connected about a year ago. He visited my brother, Ed, in Las Vegas this past summer. Things can happen so fast. Miss You, Charlie.

Like all of you I was sad to hear about Charlie. Seems like several of us worked at K-Mart foods. Charlie's father trained me to work the dairy department. He worked it in the early hours, I worked it in the afternoons. Jim Kelly talked me into quitting Frank's Food Fair and applying at K-Mart Foods.

I worked at KMart Foods when it was owned by Borman Foods. That was when they first opened. I was a stock man but they had me baking pies that the customers could buy while they were still hot. Fun while it lasted.

Hi everyone!

So we're all getting ready for Christmas........right?

The presents are wrapped (I hope) and the bulk of the work is finished.

I was so relieved that my grandkids are now old enough to pick out their own gift!  Now I send an envelope containing a check, and a bow on the envelope.  So much for shopping !  I'm finished!

What are you all doing in prep for the holiday?  Some traveling maybe................?
