Ralph E. Weber, 58, of 303 Radliff Road, a mathematics teacher at BloomingtonHigh School, died at 4:15 a.m. Friday at BrokawHospital. He had been absent from school since Easter and entered the hospital May 2.

 

Mr. Weber, a teacher of industrial arts before receiving a master of mathematics teacher’s degree from IllinoisWesleyanUniversity several years ago, is the co-author of a book on industrial mathematics to be published next fall.

 

He had been a teacher for 37 years, the last 25 at BloomingtonHigh School.

 

He received his Bachelor of Arts degree from IllinoisStateUniversity and his Master of Science degree from IowaStateUniversity.

 

His funeral will be at 2 p.m. Monday at the Second Presbyterian Church, with the Rev. Russell Shaw officiating. Burial will be in EastLawnCemetery.

 

There will be no visitation. The Beck Memorial Home has charge of arrangements.

 

The family has requested that no tangible expressions of sympathy be made.

 

Mr. Weber was born Sept. 26, 1908, in Bloomington, a son of Jacob and Friedericka Mau Weber. He married Imogene Wilson Jan. 25, 1933 in Streator.

 

He is survived by his wife, a daughter, Mrs. Barbara Juister, Itasca; two sons, Jon, at home; Walter, New York, N.Y.; two brothers, Jake, Los Angeles; George, Littleton, Calif.; and two grandchildren.
