Mary Jeanette Munce, 75, 609 Northway Lane, Bloomington, a Bloomington High School Latin teacher for 40 years, died at 2:35 p.m. Friday at Brokaw Hospital.
 
Private family funeral services will be held Monday morning, Dr. Bert L. Lancaster officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Memorial Cemetery.
 
There will be no visitation. Beck Memorial Home is in charge of arrangements.
 
She was born in 1907, in Bloomington, a daughter of Charles Carroll and Clara BeMotte Munce.
 
Survivors include a brother, Charles, and a sister, Margaret Campbell, both of Bloomington.
 
She received a bachelor’s degree from Illinois Wesleyan University, Bloomington, and a master’s degree from the University of Illinois, Urbana. She was a member of Epsilon Chapter of Kappa Kappa Gamma Sorority, past president of the Illinois Classical Languages Conference and was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church, Bloomington.
 
Miss Munce also organized the James Knowles Chapter of the Children of the American Revolution and was its state president. She taught at Piper City before coming to Bloomington, where she retired in 1972.
