The funeral for Ivetta Calhoon, of 1 Alexander Ct., Normal, a retired Bloomington English teacher, who died Sunday, will be at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at Second Presbyterian Church, Dr. Philip D. Queen, the Rev. David Peters, and Mark Ramsey officiating. Burial will be at Gridley Cemetery.
 
There will be no visitation. Beck Memorial Home has charge of arrangements.
 
Mrs. Calhoon was born Oct. 24, 1909, at Meadows, a daughter of Christian and Bena May Oyer Rediger. She married Ivan Calhoon Sept. 10, 1932 in Chicago. He died Aug. 24, 1974.
 
Surviving are two sons, Richard, Carthage, Mo., and David, El Paso; her mother, Meadows Mennonite Home; a sister Peggy Wagner, San Meteo, Calif.; twelve grandchildren; and ten great-grandchildren.
 
A son and her father preceded her in death.
 
Mrs. Calhoon was a member of Second Presbyterian Church and had served on its board of deacons. She was the Sunday school high school class teacher and a counselor for the church senior high school camp.
 
Mrs. Calhoon retired from teaching in 1973 after 17 years in District 87. For the past 3 years she has worked at Provident Bookstore.
