The funeral of James L. Stein, 44, of 1007 E. Grove St. Bloomington, will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday, at Metzler-Froelich Funeral Home, Bloomington.

 

The Rev. Gary L. Ford will officiate. Burial will be in Park Hill Cemetery, Bloomington.

 

Visitation will be from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Friday at the memorial home.

 

Mr. Stein died at 9:11 a.m. Tuesday (Oct. 31, 1989) at his home.

 

He was born Aug. 31, 1945, a son of Howard F. and Hazel M. Dittman Stein.

 

Survivors include his mother, 807 N. Main St. Bloomington; one brother David L. 1007 Howard St. Normal; and two sisters, Linda Schlosser, Springfield; and Marilee Capodice RR. 2, Bloomington.

 

His father preceded him in death.

 

Mr. Stein was educated in Bloomington Public Schools and graduated from Bloomington High School in 1964. He was active in Department of Human Services projects and was affiliated with Mulberry House, Bloomington.

 

He was a collector and restorer of antique furniture. Mr. Stein attended Park United Methodist Church, Bloomington,
