Understandably, Suzy was not keen about being uprooted to Florida after her junior year at BHS. With time, she adjusted. She sat in front of me in a few classes, and we had some heavy duty discussions. She was real bright and vibrant and kept me on my toes.

For a couple of years after she left, she was sharply interested in what was going on at BHS and around Bloomington. Altogether, we stayed in contact for 25-30 years. I remember her letters with the distinctively smooth handwriting, mostly with blue fountain pen ink.

I was dissapointed when she was a no-show for the '94 reunion, and stunned in '99 when I heard she had passed.

For me, she was more than just a person that passed through my life...she made an impact.

I had a special bond with Suzy in the fact that our mothers were in the hospital at the same time and Suzy and I were roomies in the nursery at Mennonite hospital. We reconnected at Washington Junior High School.
She was a beautiful person and, like Jack, I was shocked when she died.
I have very fond memories of her and her family.
