G. Alan Jacobson, 62, died Nov. 23, 2007 at VNA Hospice House, Vero Beach. He was born in Watseka, IL and resided in Vero Beach for 30 years, coming from Lexington, IL.

He retired from the Indian River County Utilities Department. He also worked in the family crop-spraying business, was an aircraft mechanic for Flight Safety International and ProFlight; and previously worked for Ziebart Rustproofing, Funk Seed Co. and Bloomington Municipal Airport.

He was a member of the Teamsters Union.

Survivors include his mother, Thelma Jacobson of Madisonville, TN; sister, Sue Kromhout of Madisonville; and niece, Amy Bartolucci of Vero Beach.

He was preceded in death by his father, Parl "Jake" Jacobson.
