BLOOMINGTON — Caroline L. Peiffer, 65, Bloomington, died at 11:07 a.m. Tuesday (June 12, 2012) at Advocate BroMenn Medical Center, Normal.

Her funeral will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Trinity Lutheran Church, Bloomington, with the Rev. Allen Steinbeck officiating. Burial will be in Park Hill Cemetery, Bloomington. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. today at Carmody-Flynn Williamsburg Funeral Home, Bloomington.

Memorials may be made to Trinity Lutheran Church or a charity of the donor’s choice.

Caroline was born Sept. 13, 1946, in Bloomington, the daughter of Eugene and Edith Carr Irvin. She married James G. Peiffer on Oct. 10, 1964, in Bloomington. He survives.

She is also survived by two sons, Randy (Lyanette) Peiffer, Normal, and Brad (Kelly) Peiffer, Bloomington; two grandchildren, Faith and Laken Peiffer; three brothers, Gene (Karen) Irvin, Danvers; Frank (Kathy) Irvin, Bloomington; and Danny (Kim) Irvin, Pekin; one sister, Vicky (Ron) Broadfield, Indianapolis, Ind.; one stepbrother, Tommy (Victoria) Irvin, Colorado; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Judy Keith; and twin granddaughters.

Caroline graduated from Bloomington High School and had worked as a cook at Brigham Elementary School, Bloomington. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Bloomington. Caroline was very outgoing and had a great sense of humor.

She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend and will be dearly missed.
