The following comments were provided by Mary's sister along with Mary's obituary. I wanted to share it so others could know what our class meant to her.

Your classmate (my sister) Mary Erickson Colteaux passed away Oct. 4, 2006. Here is her obit. Please post this somewhere on your site for my little sister. Mary loved getting together with her old classmates and planning reunions and get togethers. She was involved for many years in 1964 BHS class reunions.

To the spirit of MARY ERICKSON (Colteaux),
I was very saddened to hear you had passed on to the afterlife. We rode home on the same bus because you lived only about 3 blocks away. I always cheered up when
seeing you (I'd tease you in order to get a chuckle and see your bright smile). Your cute ways and shy personality forever charmed me. Being an artist, I always wanted to draw your portrait but I never asked because I knew you were too modest. After all these years I want to thank you for being friendly. This is one classmate who really misses you.

Sincerely, Robert Singletary (age 63)

Patti Miller, Rita Moore Duncan, Mary and I use to cruise Main Street all night together usually in my car. We had many fun times together. I was saddened to hear of Mary's passing. I shall never forget the night we tried to camp together at Lake Bloomington, however everyone was concerned about messing up their ratted hair, so I ended up putting the tent up by myself. We then piled back in my car and headed back to Patti's house and begged her Mother to let her join us and camp at Lake Bloomington together. By the time we made it back to the Lake with Patti, the tent had been taken down because we weren't allowed to camp there. We ended up moving the camping trip to an abandon cabin at Funks Grove sleeping on the floor in sleeping bags. Low and behold the next day we all itched terribly. Well, the reason we itched so bad was because we all got chiggers. We learned a lesson never to camp where we shouldn't have been ever again! This was one of those crazy yet fun times that will never be forgotten. There are so many other fun times that we remember, but there isn't enough space or time to share all of them. Thank you Mary, for being such a crazy and fun friend that will always be remembered.
